I highly recommend Portal Revolution. The puzzles aren't super hard, but they feel like a step up from the portal 2 game puzzles. You should even turn it into a series so we can watch along.

I'm guessing the boot-strapping will be more useful in maps that have laser relays in them as the cubes can be dragged into places totally unreachable by a laser source.

Yes, that’s what I was thinking too. Layer that with also needing to use the original laser for something at the same time.

gorgeous map! also i didn't think they could be bootstrapped either. it's interesting that they can be -- I imagine you could use a pair to constantly keep a laser switch powered on

1:44 yeah that's still a thing with these lol 3:04 yeah, that's a bug with the version of the shrodinger cubes i'm using. 4:11 yeah, that was a inspiration for the map lol

1:18 - I have not once seen an application submission in your name, so sadly I'll have to file your _hint hint_ into the "maybe one day" category ;) 2:20 - Naaah. Our version is done via code rather than improvised via Hammer elements. The real deal doesn't have to be on the glass, and it just behaves more smoothly overall 3:02 - (getting the feeling that this will be a "clarifications and corrections" episode-comment deal lol) The P2:CE version of the cube does not bootstrap; the fake version has to use a hidden laser emitter to mimic the behavior, so it can't tell its laser apart from any other. It wouldn't make sense for them to bootstrap in the same way that it wouldn't make sense for a laser to exist infinitely if you put a bunch of regular laser cubes aiming at each other in a loop :P 4:58 - That's the old signage that's existed in the game since 2011 😭 14:36 - Please do! They have the proper cubes there, plus a good introduction and exploration of the mechanic, so definitely a worthy experience! 14:50 - *Very much unofficial Great video as per usual, and great work with this puzzle :D

play Portal Revoultion, its a good game and features those near the end. They don't bootstrap in the game, though, i don't think.

By all logic this one is technically more of "Test Chamber Roofs" more than islands, which that one is, considering you cant see an ocean in aperture
