if you like different types of anime like the skate boarding one, you should try air gear. its about skates, called air treks. people form gangs and compete with each other. the air treks aren't like normal skates and have abilities and stuff. it starts with gang fights but eventually leads to them climbing a tower that is the dream of every air trekkers. it may sound cringey but its actually pretty badass. the anime came out in 2006 though but the manga has 37 volumes and is complete.

It's not uncommon for anime to sexualize what we in the west would consider underage, but in Japan the age of consent is 13 years old so they kinda get away with it. It's weird to see but that's just the culture of the country anime and manga come from. Different standards and laws for different places.

They changed the age of consent. Don't forget Japan has seriously bad grape laws. One man did a teenage girl on a wall and the court claimed she should have resisted more and it "looks" like she could have escaped. That's one reason suicide is high for females not to mention they just recently placed a law regarding (can't remember the name). It is basically people recording people secretly dressing, spying under girls' skirts etc. It is messed up. It also told that a lot of animators have been arrested for being pedos and going after children way below the alleged "age 13 consent".

And as one of the other comments mentioned the 13 years thing was for a specific area and only within 2 year gap so I'll admit that I wasn't quite accurate with my information. Obviously I'm not in favor of low age of consent, I was just making an argument for the fact that it's more normalized over in Japan compared to the West, where Japan has pretty much normalized the sexualization of younger characters. For example the character in Prison School Meiko Shiraki is like 17-18, but she looks like a woman in her late 20's to early 30's physically yet she's somehow still a teenager. And for anime girls she's on the upper end of the age range usually. The character Marin Kitagawa from My Dress Up Darling is 16, and yet the show depicts her in very sexualized ways with the main premise of the show being that she does cosplay of attractive female characters.
