I have been waiting for software like this for ages. Tried the free trial and it blew me away it’s so good. I have used it to make backing tracks to play/practice guitar to and it just works. Now bought the full version. Thanks Steve for highlighting it, it’s the best bargain for any practising musician.

Wow that separation quality actually sounds good Thanks for the rec, steve
@stinemusiclessons2 жыл бұрын
When you separate, you will hear small "warbels" here and there, but that's bound to happen in trying to extract elements from each other, but I've found some of that can be fixed a bit with some post-production, BUT the truth is, if you are adding your own stuff to the tracks, it really fills in the blanks anyway.

Very cool. One of many possible functions they could add would be generating live-animated Fret Tabs.

The target market group out of their users for a function like that is probably smaller than you think.

Steve, if there is two guitar tracks, one lead and one rhythm can you delete just on guitar or does it remove all guitars?
@unknownportalmusic2 жыл бұрын
Ok great thanks! but can this separate and isolate solos in noisy metal music where theses all this noisy rhythm guitar and also left and right leads?
@eugenebartus10182 жыл бұрын
That is pretty interesting it's like having your own little Studio without having thousands of dollars invested in Mixon I agree with you too expensive one would be good enough for what I would use it for
@stinemusiclessons2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's pretty cool and well worth the price of the cheaper version :-)

Steve, I wouldn't use this software to send sections to other musicians, rather, I'd just mute the guitar and play along with the band so I could learn the song.
@jaimealejandro41504 ай бұрын
Does it work when isolating a song with two guitar parts, for example? Let's say I want to learn a song where theres a lead guitar up front, and a rhythm guitar in the background. Would it saparate the lead guitar in one track, and the background rhythm guitar in another one, different from the first one, so I can mute each one of them to learn both parts.

Cool software. I use a discontinued software called Riffstation so I can jam along with my CD collection that is downloaded on to my iMac. I'll have to see what this cost :-)

I used to use that too!

Hey Steve. Thus software sound great but I have a question... have you tried this with a song that has guitars and keyboards? Does it separate them or keep the keys and guitars together? And likewise, does it keep multiple guitars and leads together as one track? Either way this will be a great and fun way to learn parts or just jam along. Thanks for showing us this software. Always something cool to learn with your videos.
@stinemusiclessons2 жыл бұрын
Hey John! That’s a great question, and I have NOT checked that out, but I need to do that and see how it turns out. There are no other separation options so I would assume they’d be on the same separated track, but I need to look further. I CAN say that I did this on Magic Man by Heart, and the keyboard solo at the end in on the same track as the guitar, so I suppose that’s going to always be the case…
@c.a.sixtiesandmore69652 жыл бұрын
@@stinemusiclessons if it helps you can seperate sections even more, just click on add layer and mark it keyboard, then go to the Heart guitar track and pick out the keyboard notes, click on the arrow next to the new keyboard layer and it appears there. so you can have multi tracks so to speak. i now have guitar in one channel and keyboard in the other, it takes a fair bit of time but it can be done, as can seperating guitars.. if you save the project you can do a bit then go back to it. hope this helps if you've not already done it.

As well as you explain it all musical recording software is a nightmare..its overly complicated, user manuals are only understood if you have a degree in engineering, When you do eventually work out how to use it only 10% is of any practical use... I'm a guitar player, I'll put down a backing track import the drums then double or triple track with harmonies or riffs.. If I ever do anything good then I'll get an engineer to work his magic. For the moment ill concentrate of having fun, the techos can have their fun later..lol

I mean it does the same as izotope rx does, but the version of rx that has the rebalance feature costs like 1000 bucks or more. Sure, izotope sounds waay better, but for the purpose of playing along you don't need rx and all the features. Seems like a good alternative
