Pruning is the easy part. But you explaining why to keep the longest vine and rid the plant of the rest was the MOST important information I have seen about growing this plant. I had read to keep the longest vine, just didn't understand why. You explained it very well. Thank you!

I went through a lot of "instructional" videos which seemed to be more live a venue for the author to promote himself and his very special unique outgrown big ego (pruning needed:) than to teach me anything about pruning. This video is truly educational and finally I know how to prune my vines!!! thank you:)

Extraordinary video. You've answered questions that I hadn't yet properly developed!! I'm developing muscadine vines upon trellises in southern Louisiana where muscadines thrive naturally in the wild. For me, it makes sense to concentrate on several of my plants, vines and fruit trees to be related to native plants, like muscadines, grafted persimmons, wild trunks to developed varieties, etc. Your videos explain vine training processes inn such a way that I don' need to be ab expert to use your expert advice. Thank you!!

Very informative & well explained. I've already seen lots of video about grapes vine pruning but none of them were clear to me. I couldn't seem to understand the proper way of training and pruning the vine because of the different terms used like spur, cordon, trunk, cane, arm, head that they all looked the same to me. Thus, I'm having difficulty differentiating one from the other. Now, it's clear me after watching this video. Thanks a lot for the explanation and now I can start pruning my new grape vine that has grown a meter high and do it in a proper way as explained in this video.

I watched Greg's videos & followed his instructions. My five vines were purchased from Isons one year & eleven months ago. All vines reached or came close to the desired 20 feet length the 1st year. This 2nd current season my harvest totals: 2 Isons ( 9 gallons), Supreme ( 4 gal) , Black Beauty (3 gal), Darlene (less than a quart). I was astounded to get this much fruit from vines purchased less than two years ago.
