Isonychia Harrop's Hairwing

Detailed instructions for tying an Isonychia Harrop's Hairwing.
Recipe:
Hook: Standard dry-fly hook (here, a Lightning Strike DF1), size 10.
Thread: Black, 6/0 or 70-denier.
Tails: Moose body hair, cleaned and stacked.
Body: Isonychia-color UV2 Fine & Dry dubbing.
Hackle: Medium dun or barred medium dun.
Thorax: Isonychia-color UV2 Fine & Dry dubbing.
Wing: Dun Comparadun or short/fine deer hair.

Tim I have tied something similar for the last dozen years but without the hackle....it works great. will have to add the hackle for better buoyancy.

That is a great pattern! If folks watch both of our channels and can't get an Iso pattern they like, they are not paying attention. I know I have five up and you have like, I don't know, 276 Iso patterns? Great stuff, my friend!

There is no way on God's earth that I could tie that pattern without crowding/clogging the hook eye.

Really???!!! Another clever pattern/fly style/recipe that I probably had seen before but wasn't on my radar...it's fishy as heck. And you make it look so easy. I figure even me with my 8 thumbs and garbage technique, I could probably tie a passable version of those. Little yellow ones for PMDs, tiny ones for BWOs, medium sized ones for Adams and other tasty attractor colors, Big ones for drakes or whatever. I guess I gotta go and tie up a bunch of these now, and get a new box to put them in, and a bigger sling bag for the extra box. Of course I don't have nearly enough time to fish with all these patterns you are filling up KZbin with. Are you gonna call in sick for me when I skip work to go fishing with my new Harrop's Hariwings? I mean they have to be field tested, right? Thanks Tim...Really. Thanks a lot. Awesome tie by the way.
