Hello Invebo, I'm very pleased with the result of my repair with the docking connector you sent me. Arrived in time and repair went very smoothly thanks to the You tube tutorial. The product you sent is even better than the genuine BOSE print, as the connector cables can be fixed more easily and with less strain thanks to the little clips on the connector sockets. My hint for disassembly end reassembling is to loosen the bottom plate completly by the four screws under the rubber anti slip pads and als the four little ones under the connector bottom. So the cables will not be squeezed unnecessarily and most of all, the spring can be placed without any forcing the mechanism in any way. Thanks again. Philipp

Great vid - great product. Watched the video once, ordered the part, delivered to Spain in a few days, watched the video again and fixed the SounDock portable in real time. System seems to work - well done, Invebo. Let's now test durability of the replacement board...

thank you, This is so easy, my daughter is only 5 and she can do it herself. I just save $70 USD. I call Bose and they said is $ 115 with shipping included and you will also get a 1 year warranty and any of the parts? I just pay $39 USD on EBAY, and I fixed it in 5 minutes tops.I Love It, and the British accent is cool. I from Colombia and live in LA. Thank you I’m very happy, my family love this portable sound dock.

Thank you for your video!!!! I ordered your part and was able to do this myself, saving me some money and getting to plug the wall cord to the portable sounddock!!! I was having the same problem the people have with the AUX IN but my issue was the AC plug connection had worn or broken making it very difficult to recharge the batteries.

Hey guys, great channel. Really awesome to see these units being recycled, repaired and given new lease of life. I need to replace the speakers in my unit. While I am happy to replace then with some like for like units I have always found thaat they are a touch underwhelming in the bass area and I'm thinking of upgrading to a move powerful set of speakers. How do you think the little amp would deal with that? And would I have to remove the cables from my damaged speakers to re-solder onto the upgraded ones? Or is it possible to get these cables? (I'm not sure what type of connector it uses) Thanks guys. Appreciate your help.

Great video. Where is the remote sensor on the Soundock located? I have a fresh battery in my remote, the sounddock battery is fully charged, but when my ipod is plugged into the dock, the up/down buttons & off/on button remotely controls the Soundock properly, BUT the next track & other buttons don't function anymore. I've heard that sometimes dust can get on or cover the IR sensor on the Soundock & by usinig like compressed air to blow off the dust, that will fix the problem..... but where is the sensor located behind the front screen? Thanks for your help in advance.
@invebocustomerservice28327 жыл бұрын
hello, It sounds like your remote is OK. if your volume control work via IR but you cant navigate the tracks on the docked Apple device it means that the docking connector has one or more bad contacts. >> Fit new docking connector.

Hello there! Great video!! I have a question my portable soundock does not make the sound like it used when I would plug in the charger. So I think the issue might be with the charging port or something. Any ideas on what it might be or what I can do to fix it? Thanks in advance!!!!

badnad13 I have not yet, I've literally done so much digging and have started to asked people and stores if their tech groups are able to do anything but I have gotten nowhere yet. These are a pair of great speakers and I have had them for at least 6 or 7 years and the quality of sound and power of the speakers are still incredible. I really want to get these fixed.

+Sam Lennox you can buy a 30 pin to 8 pin converter any where online or in the apple store, would cost you around 30$. works just fine with my iPhone 5s. just make sure your case (if you have one on the phone) is not closed on the charging part.

I pulled the ribbon before watching this vodeo. Is there a way to open the dock and pull the ribbon back through?
@invebocustomerservice28327 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can feed it back carefully if you a little petroleum jelly on the cables and carefully slide it back in with a pair of tweezers or small pliers. Hold the ribbon very close (~2mm) to the point where it emerges from the grommet and push back in. Repeat until you have the correct length. If you have pulled them right out or the internal connectors then you need to remove the grille and ALL the screws that you can see underneath.

How can I fix my sounddock portable, the problem it's: I cann't advance with the remote control the next song, list or álbum in my IPod I only can down and up the volume.
@ButtonBrand10 жыл бұрын
Hi, if you can control volume with the remote then the remote is working so the failure is the docking connector. A new connector board is required. See the video on how to change it on the Invebo website.

Does anyone know how to fix the open and close mechanics?. Mine stays open...any ideas? Thanks
@ispens6 жыл бұрын
Usually the problem is caused by a bent shaft so that the tray fouls on the base plate. This can usually be fixed by carefully straightening.
@kaimanson31746 жыл бұрын
ispens while checking the tray (port) yesterday, I believe there is a plastic pin underneath that help to guide the tray to the close position and it looks to be broken. Under normal circumstances you only have to push the right side of the tray where the dock is located and it should turn and stay open. My stays open all the time if I try to close it by push it in it will turn back out. :(

my sound dock plays the music from the ipods the issue it stopped charging the ipods what maybe the problem
@ButtonBrand7 жыл бұрын
If it plays music but wont charge then the docking connector is damaged. You can buy and try a new one from invebo. All parts are sale or return. Note that the very old 8gb and 16gb ipods only support firewire charging.and the portable dock has USB charging. i.e. The old ones will play but not charge.
