Israel Adesanya joins Ariel Helwani's MMA Show to discuss his fight against Kelvin Gastelum and how he defeated him. Adesanya calls Jon Jones a bully, saying "Jon Jones literally reminds me of what I've hated most in life: bullies" setting up the potential to fight him. Helwani and Adesanya discuss his desires to fight Robert Whittaker and explains how it would be one of the biggest sporting events ever in that region.

@@TheRedRuin Bro your stupid, I can tell you just casually follow the sport or just started watching, Jon Jones CUTS DOWN to 205, he Walks 225-230 Easily. He has been cutting down since he was 21 (When he looked like a Bean pole) and you physically grow Muscle into your frame as a Male around age 28-32. Isreal does not want that smoke, he's already 29 and he is almost done gaining Muscle Mass naturally for his frame. His Body frame makes him the "natural zone of MW and LHW". Just because the division is 205 doesn't mean, the fighters fight at that weight. Most of those LHW fights between 215-230. Isreal Walks around, what? 195-200? that is a 30 POUND disadvantage he would get Smoked.

I don't get why some people say Kelvin is not a good striker - his boxing and especially his headmovement in the Adesanya fight were extremely good, both Izzy struggling to connect with his hands in the first rounds and getting hit so often in comparison to all his other fights speaks volumes imo as he's a phenomenal striker. iOnsteins Engineering Group BMW BENZ AMP REBUILDERS Point being, Kelvin is known for his wrestling, not for his boxing. Yet he put up a good back and forth against Adesanya and touched him up quite a bit. Izzy almost got KOd in the forth, after a lot of those champ adjustments you spoke of. Whittaker is a much more technical striker and leaves far fewer openings than Kelvin. He’s a lot more crafty in his striking and if Israel had a tough fight against Kelvin, he’s up for a much much tougher time against Whittaker. Who the hell thought Kelvin was going to stand with Izzy like that and not look completely outclassed? Nobody. Everyone that had Kelvin winning had him winning on the ground. Get the stick out of your ass and try out some critical thinking for a change. Sorry you get so butthurt from a disagreement, but maybe you could try making a point instead of getting bitter

Izzy is a great fighter but his “confidence” at times starts to wander into arrogance, unable to give Kelvin any credit without adding in the fact he smashed him up in the fifth round. Hopefully this won’t be his downfall.

I am surprised Kelvin didn't try to punch when he had him against the fence. I thought him closing in like that was so he can get a hit in (it seems like one clean hit would knock Adesanya), but he never did.

if he wants to fight jones he gonna have to get his weight up lol cause he's lot bigger walks around easily 230 and drops down to 205 but stylistically be a good fight, but im wanting to see jones vs johnny walker i believe walker be the one to defeat jones, cause to beat jones u can't just stand and bang with him strike for strike, to beat jones u gonna have to throw catch him by surprise off guard with power which is exactly what walker is best at. last 3 or 4 fights have all ended in under a min plus he has close to the same reach as jones like 80 or 82"'s which takes away jones advantage he has over most fighters his long limbs.

Love Israel and Whitaker, but Israel needs to chill, hes a little emotional about Whitaker for no reason. That wont be good for him in the fight because Whitaker is a different beast. Adesanya wins the belt imo but not this time against Whitaker, in the future he will. Adesanya just pumps himself up, gets a little to excited about this stuff, but he is just budding, I think he'll learn to relax and not force things. And he should never fight Jones, jones is way to big for him regardless of how good he gets. Really bad fight for him, let please be realistic. I know Jon doesnt pay a second of mind to Israel. Its unrealistic.
