I love what he potentially represents for the middleweight division. I don’t think he gives Jones much issues though, even in the standup. Adesanya’s best defensive attribute is head movement, and using his reach effectively while using predominantly straight, crisp punches. Jones doesn’t head hunt, and rarely opens up with punches. He uses kicks, and then knees and elbows when clinching or in close. He’s either all the way in or all the way out. And when he’s in, that’s where his clinch and grappling would prove to be a problem for Adesanya. It would be a fun fight, but not a good night for the Last Stylebender.
