I think Middleweight actually might be the most stacked division currently. Not only are the top 5 guys are really close to one another, but new talents have come in and smashed out super tough guys from the top 5. Like Cannonier and Hermanson jumped in and dudes like Jacare (who is an absolute beast) fell out of the top 5 because of that. While former champions like Weidman and Rockhold were in the mid to lower top 10 of the division by the time they left. I feel like whoever wins is going to have a lot of wars left for their time in the division.

I think this is a great fight because we will get a chance to see how good each team is at making adjustments. Adesanya's team has already talked about making adjustments after the gastelum fight and whittaker is coming off of two fights with a very different type of fighter, not to mention the long layoff. Each looks very capable of winning on the feet, so I'm just very excited to see this one.
