This is UNREAL. What you were playing over the drum solo is amazing. How do you play all of those notes between 0:53 - 1:01, and somehow stay in tune? How do you know which notes correspond/compliment the bass notes? You do it again from 2:35 - 2:39. In fact you do it all the time, and i'm always amazed when I listen to Israel albums. HOW!? I must learn.

In a way, he's kind of playing some parts of the melody. Literally making the bass sing. And the way he did it didn't make it too overwhelming. Perfection!

So, he's using parts of the major triad(3rd/5th of chord) up a octave to create flavor with his line. So It'd be like 1-2-5-6-11-10 as 8ths or 16ths where he resolves the line to a Maj10th or something to that effect.

Hello, In my experience using the PLEX it has served me well. Especially in situations where I had an amp-less stage. Just like anything else, you want to spend time with it to see what works best with your bass and what you are looking for. I haven't really used the compression on the PLEX just the amp simulations.

onzkicg I grew up in church. This style I kind of grew up in. Learning a lot of different gospel songs is a good start. I’ve had formal training in classical and jazz since grade school all the way through college. That was more so to explain what was going on in church.
