What a beautiful soul Dr. Finkelstein is. Writing this with mixed emotions accompanied by tears. He dedicated his most precious years speaking up for the voiceless Palestinians. Put his career on the line, sidelined by the powerful Zionists who denied him tenure at DePaul and forced limited circulation of his books. Yet he never succumbed to any pressure. His only complaint now in his advanced years is his struggle to do more and the time it takes. The least we can do is buy his books as a reminder of this honorable human being. Stay Blessed Always sir. ❤️✊

Great man. My husband, a Bangladeshi Muslim, followed him up until he passed. Norman has great integrity and is the type of Jew I used to know when working in academia, both in music and medicine. He talks to share information. This style barely exists anymore. Most figures now primarily talk to dictate how you should feel about something; sharing information come second, if it comes at all. People aren't used to people sharing information. That's why Norman Finkelstein's speaking style is so strange to some people: he talks slowly so you have time to think and process; when most people just want to be told what to think and how to feel already!

For him though. To fight for Palestine for over 40 years. To keep producing quality work. To put his other interests aside puts him on another level. He has decided to continue his work on Palestine. I remember him saying he was exhausted but after seeing what was going on in Gaza he said: "he has nothing to complain about." So where are the geographical roots of the so called Palestinians??????? Hamas Minister of the Interior and of National Security Fathi Hammad, aired by Al-Hekma TV on March 23, 2012. Stated..........we all have Arab roots, and every Palestinian, in Gaza and throughout Palestine, can prove his Arab roots - whether from Saudi Arabia, from Yemen, or anywhere. We have blood ties. Personally, half my family is Egyptian. We are all like that. More than 30 families in the Gaza Strip are called Al-Masri ["Egyptian"]. Brothers, half of the Palestinians are Egyptians and the other half are Saudis. Who are the Palestinians? We have many families called Al-Masri, whose roots are Egyptian. Egyptian! They may be from Alexandria, from Cairo, from Dumietta, from the North, from Aswan, from Upper Egypt. We are Egyptians. The so called Palestinians are not even from Palestine!!!!!! "There is no such thing as Palestine in history, absolutely not." -- Arab Princeton Professor, Philip Hitti, before the Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry in Jerusalem in 1946. "We [Palestinians] were never an independent state in history, we were part of an Arab state and an Islamic state.” -- Palestinian Hamas Foreign Minister Mahmoud Zahhar (quoted in The Economist, February 2, 2008) If Palestine were an Arab state, at any point in recorded history, why was there no mention of them? Because there never was an Arab Palestinian nation, nor any nation called Palestine, ever. In 1964 Yasser Arafat visited Moscow, USSR. While there, the Soviet KGB (secret service) developed a strategy for him. Arafat would be the leader of a new organization named PLO, Palestinian liberation organization. The KGB recommended that the Arabs create a new identity for themselves that would called Palestinian......

The people who created the state are revered as heroes for what they did... everything from demolishing entire towns to raping girls and executing people with flame throwers. They were brutal because they wanted Palestinians to be gone and never come back. they stole their land, most of their possessions and even the money in their banks. And now their archeologists are digging up some of the ancient sites that they destroyed and finding "artefacts" for their museums. But this is also evidence. Some of their resorts are built on top of mass graves from the stones that used to be houses and other buildings, and every now and then bones poke up from the ground.

Norman has made an incredible contribution to this world through his work and he has laboured so much to raise awareness of the injustices atrocities in this holocaust. I hope he is getting the support he needs and also looking after his own health. God bless him. If anyone deserves a lifetime award in recognition of his invaluable contributions towards striving for world peace, it should be likes of him and Noam Chomskey.

How on earth could that be allowed to happen? It's completely insane and a shame for all who supported, tolerated and defended that catastrophe to be orchestrated.

Answer: read Professor Ilan Pappe's newest book, released just a week ago. He goes through all of the history up to the present.

@@mozartsbumbumsrus7750 History is one thing, present politics another. We should learn from history and do better than in the past. The book you recommend is certainly worth reading but does not answer my questions. In any case: Thank you for replying to my comment.
