Hail! I am a historian and I love watching your videos, especially the ones about your writing. Regarding your comments about stinky people of Rome, until really quite recently on the timeline of the human race, everyone would have had a 'certain smell' - that being piss, shit and sweat. So basically, it was so normal that it was not a problem for the vast majority of people. When we walk through a town, we don't really smell petrol/gasoline fumes from all the cars, because we have adapted to the smell being normal. Many people throughout history would have smelled just like your hobo friend, but most others would not have really noticed it.

I got an idea for the timestamp issue. Put a little rectangle in the corner of your thumbnail, where the timestamp will be. If you can find the right colours to obscure the readability a bit, it'll help to stop our brains from reading it so fast. Otherwise, it is tough to click the video without getting a glimpse of it.
