RLV is good demonstrator but in order to achieve full reusability & lower cost to space travel the size has to scaled by 5X or so. Only 1.6 times larger will not be enough & off no use in future. Isro should study spacex & starship & do atleast half the size of it.

You would have thought that the finishing touches should be up to the mark, the painting and finishing looks like it has been done by a nursery project, it really portrays the poor standards we Indians accept! It really is poor even if it is a scaled model. It looks terrible 😢

This fuselage is a scale down model for studies😂, not original one. It has to go under various tests including Structural tests, acoustic test etc. So please wait 7 -8 years.Original one is almost double the size.

@@rv2381 I do state “even if it is a scaled model” the finishing needs to look professional not hand painted job!…my point relates to most things constructed in India, finished or scaled the finishing is “mostly 3rd rate” even if you look at the new trains and the roads infrastructure, the quality standards monitoring is usually very poor and that effects the finishing. The old Indian mentality of “Chaalaga” still prevails.

Strange fellow. The "hollow tube" that SpaceX brings back also costs $$$$. Or is Bagla ji claiming that it is free at ISRO? Also, the cadence at SpaceX is so much faster. In the 2-3 years that ISRO is going to take to dedign/build "critical technologis," SpaceX will be on the moon (with entire systems that reusable) and perhaps will take a shot at Mars too. 😊

The senior journalist here has no knowledge about spacex yet talking rubbish. Spacex first stage booster is the most expensive part costing 60-70% of total cost along with 9 merlin engines. There 2nd stage is 1/3rd cost & unfeasible to recover from space thars why they developing starship to bring both stages to land. Also the extra 10% cost of falcon 9 are the farings which they also reuse there by reducing cost by 80%. Isro should develope both reusable stages to take advantage & not only upper stage.

Why do you even try to copy the space shuttle. US abandoned it couple of decades ago. The new thing is starship. SpaceX produces reusable Raptor engines for $20000 (projected to fall further with the newer versions) and currently manufactures them at the rate of one per day!!! (soon set to increase to 2 per day). Besides, what is the point i n flying a glider - any high school student can do it
