For us, the smells were amazing.. we really enjoyed it. We enjoyed our time in Istanbul, with some caveats. We have since moved on to our next location! More vids from Turkey are still coming. I can't believe you have to go through security to enter the market! Not for me that is for sure 😄

Oh yeah, there is lots of security measures all around in Istanbul. There are real threats that happen frequently there. When you get to the airport and get in the entrance doors, you go through security instantly, before you go in, drop your bags at check in and then go through security again a second time.

Very common across the Middle East and North Africa. Personally I appreciate all efforts to improve safety.

@@carolinacadabra8278 the safeguards at the bazaar and spice bazaar are useless. Half the time the staff aren't even watching and half the people walk in without going through it. Anytime something sets it off, nothing happens. It's just optics. The shopping mall we went to, different story. They X-ray any of your bags going into the mall. It shouldn't have to be this way. There is a reason why this is, but I'll refrain from that discussion.
