RWD was faster than AWD in FH4 too, was just a little harder to use. Some of the fastest leaderboard cars were RWD for stuff like powerbuilds and even for balanced builds RWD was faster sometimes. Really S2 was the only class RWD wasn’t very competitive in besides Monaco King Cobra. All that being said, RWD and no forza aero is stronger in this game than it was in FH4 and a lot of cars are faster without aero now other than like S2.

I've been playing old gran turismo for a long time and i have some tips to help the community (let's make it clear that i don't know if they apply to this game) To improve the fwd car start you should increase the rear height (to go with less weight to the rear and stay where it matters at the front) Front-wheel drive cars need to have a looser rear end to help the front get around corners (up to a limit because you don't get unsteered (and just watch a race of front-wheel drive cars with little aerodynamics to see how the cars go sideways) This is visible in the difference of driving the Acura Integra for the ford fiesta (It seems that the ford is heavy and slow) to make the back looser you should increase the back stiffness and height (which consequently improves the start) I think this game even has convergence that should be left tighter in stronger fwd cars (Up to a clear limit) And lastly, if the differential lock is too strong, the car drives forward under heavy acceleration (this is visibly clear on high and long corners, and again and more visible in the case of the ford fiesta) And if possible use aerodynamics in front and back Because it allows a loose rear adjustment for low corners and is stable on high corners (if it's too forward, you should lower the rear aerodynamics first to send the aerodynamic center of gravity further back, if it's too rearward you should increase the aerodynamics at the front to send the aerodynamic center forward) All that's been said here are general tips, because this hitting issue is big enough to fill a dam with knowledge and is highly addictive, being able to spend days hitting a car up to the maximum limit the chassis can handle Well I've stretched too much, so success in the videos!!!

@thiagodutrassantos89652 жыл бұрын
@@IsuckAtDriving Well, as I said, these are just tips and I don't know this game well, and you don't need them (you have too much skill to get around this) But with the right aerodynamic parts (this also includes a close ratio transmission scaled to the car's power, so you don't get a tractor) you could have passed that Ford GT in the sequence of turns from the 9:54 minute of the video (I would have done all of 6 gear because the chassis has ) and stay side by side on that straight before the finish line (all speculation based on the little experience I have) It's good to discuss with those who like to race and like cars Since we are few today Thanks for listening

Hey, I've been tuning my Megane RS thanks to your advice and I'm still tweaking things here and there. I really like the feel I got from my car thanks to your advices. Would you be incline to share the same for RWD and AWD cars aswell ? It's always a pleasure to read passionate people talking about their hobbies !
@thiagodutrassantos89652 жыл бұрын
@@Derramtark Well I can give you some tips for rwd and awd cars Now I don't know if it will help as in the case of fwd cars Then tell what has improved in Renault =) Well, for starters, I'll put it in numbered topics 1. The first thing I hit on an rwd car is the camber, because it's no use having a car that doesn't go sideways, but it doesn't turn and is licking the wall or measuring the outside of the track, usually these cars are very forward when entering the curve after braking (especially after you take off weight, big engine on the front and only empty rear can) 2.height Lower at the front and higher at the back, the amount of adjustment depends on how much the car understeer out of the curve (lower front, lowers the front center of gravity making the steering faster, up to a limit of course, and lifting the rear you make it come out first, balancing with the heavy front, again up to a limit and of course) 3. the stabilizer bars I usually leave it softer at the front and more rigidly at the back so the car points right at the beginning and in the middle of the curve (again it depends on the car and the person's driving, like if the driver is already sideways in the curve, the car setting changes for example : less front bar and less front camber 4.damper bound and rebound make the front damper harder, to speed up the steering response and correct the rear exit in the middle of the turn and at the end of the turn (from the outside it will look like drift) but don't mind because if you see any racing car race rear without aerodynamics, you will see a ball of controlled skidding (I recommend the old Brazilian stock, and preferably an onboard video of the racing Opala) the rear dampers, make it softer for the rear to be more predictable and well behaved in the curve when you're accelerating (up to a limit of not pushing the front, softer but not too much) 5.differential this guy's fit here is the difference between a good car and an uncontrollable one the throttle setting shouldn't be too much, if it doesn't push the front out of the corner when you're accelerating in medium and high corners, and in low speed corners it won't turn the car (seriously the car will go straight as if you weren't squeezing to turn), so this adjustment can't be too much (if it's too little it also pushes the car out of the curve) I usually make the deceleration higher, because I hold the front of the car in the middle of the curve when you're controlling the accelerator (press and release) The deceleration has a maximum value limit to put (you see sudden movements in the middle of the curve) and the initial blocking force must be set with care (not because the car has 1000hp that you will leave the blocking with 100%, then it becomes a cloud machine) the perfect set-up and a balanced car in the middle of the corner (not too much to the side, not too front of the type measuring the corner of the track) 6.springs I rarely change the spring loads (except if it's too hard), or when the car is fast and it's sinking too much with the high downforce 7. aerodynamics Here it is more complicated, because there are a car that has a very heavy front, then you put a giant aerofolio in the rear and the car stops turning when adjusting this part, put more downforce at the rear than at the front, if the car is too front, pass the downforce further forward and if it still doesn't work, reduce the rear donwforce or change the aerofolio for a smaller one or don't use one at the back ( although it helps the car to brake) until the car is stable and turning properly (this includes flatout turns) These tips are for most rwd cars(2007 mustang type,bmw series 3,nissan silvia),however you will find cars that strangely don't work(like a 427 mustang, which has a very heavy engine in the front, or a jaguar f-type that has a very light rear) It's already been extremly long only the rwd part (they're kind of boring to get it right) If you don't understand the translation or have any questions, just call the comments. Ps: mid-engined and rear-engined cars (Porsche type) are a completely different beast than a front-engined rwd

Soon as I had my car tuned to s1 it was easy as cake to compete up to expert level, then... ai like 'rammmmm fessssstt' lol. Now I'm happily losing on multiplayer races wondering how tf they use to going THAT fast through the track.
