Thanks for the great video! Really appreciate all of the great info on tuning! It's helped me tune a few cars that posted a top 1000 time in Rivals and one that even made it into the top 500! I just started uploading my replays to watch back to try and improve my times. If anyone beats any of the runs I upload, let me know and I'll try to beat your time!

I drive the Ford Fiesta ST probably 50% of the time in this game because it's my IRL car. Stoked to watch this and tune it better than I have been. Also, Fiesta ST is unsurprisingly great in B Class.

Totally anecdotal, but a dude named FailRace literally decided to stop using his B-Class Mugen CRX in FH4 "Vs the Community" races because it kept rinsing everything else out like dirty dishes to the point where it wasn't fair. Good FWD builds are a particularly crazy kinda dark horse.

Great stuff, you're my new favorite creator! So informative! I would love to see a far more in depth tuning guide for varying car weights, engine placement, and typical "quick tune" adjustments just to get you a baseline. I would also love to see an IN DEPTH guide on what exactly each engine upgrade actually does, what's the difference between each suspension type, etc.
@LotusBoi1989
@LotusBoi1989 2 жыл бұрын
iirc most engine mods are just power boosts, some have different weights. about the only exception is the cams which increase redline RPM. my general rule of thumb is to install everything that reduces weight first (intake, exhaust, valvetrain, and pistons) move on to things that dont (cams first then displacement as they usually gives the biggest chunk, then ignition and fuel) and finally stuff that adds weight (turbo/supercharger, oil cooling, then intercooler in that order) After that, it's just a matter of poking and prodding around to figure out what exactly you can squeeze in to get as close as possible to the very top of your class, without nudging yourself over that last little bit into say 701 pi for example.

I got bored recently and decided to be ridiculous by posing S1 lap times in FWD cars like Civic Type R. Instead of having a laughter over the meme driving experience, I instead was learning how to tune and drive FWD cars, and this video helped me a lot and I'm enjoying it. I'm still about 0.5s away from my fastest friend in a RWD car after spending hours tweaking and perfecting my tune and driving, but I believe I can make it there even if the Civic Type R is past its max performance and now boils down to my driving

I like a some ARB in the front, the diff prevents one wheel spinout, then adjust F/R to balance the grip at apex. I need to try adjustable aero on my ABC collection of CR-Xs.

I wish I had someone that really knows their stuff to help me with my tune and my skills. I'm struggling pretty badly with corner entry, and somewhat with inital launch as well (VS the AI; I don't really play online) with my Fiesta ST. I refuse to put any aero on it because I want it to look exactly like my IRL car but it feels like I'm totally screwing myself over by ignoring it.

Nah, it just takes a bit more tuning. I hate forza aero and absolutely refuse to use it, but it can be reigned in with some in depth tuning/tweaking. Really use the telemetry to pick out things that could be tuned, and also determine whether or not its the tune or your driving. Ive noticed that a lot of my problems come from bad driving lmao. 😅 So it may not even be the tune but that you need to get better at driving. Thats what it was for me. I just suck at driving

Can you tell me how to adjust the steering wheel so that when you turn the car does not go into a DRIFT? I've tried all sorts of adjustments, but it doesn't work. On XBOX Controller there is no such problem, the car is more stable than when I play on the steering wheel. I've tried turning on ABS, stability control - none of that helps. On tight corners, when I turn with the throttle, the car doesn't react appropriately and DRIFTS, and goes off the track. It's infuriating!!!

So for brake bias you moved it in both directions without setting it. For FWD on circuit builds do we push the slider to the left or to the right?

Civic 97 my favorite Honda. Sometimes drift suspension give you better handling. Differential : accel 25% decel 5% work for me best Brake : Balance :52-48 Pressure : 85-90 cuz brakes don't lock wheel too much/ fast. Aero pointless is A :i don't use it. It's ugly af.

The improved turning angle on drift suspension helps immensely in wheel setups and lots of times you can re-tune drift suspension to be identical to race suspension

I usually use 10 on acceleration for diff is that bad?
@ShawFujikawa
@ShawFujikawa 2 жыл бұрын
A very low accel diff will keep you extremely stable exiting corners with minimal wheelspin but will hurt your acceleration as well because your outer wheels aren’t able to spin fast enough to put the power down. 10% honestly just sounds vastly too conservative though, with FWD unlike RWD if your tyres lose grip you don’t spin out so you can generally afford to run high accel diff on FWD without much issue, like 90+%.
@stefaneduard8169
@stefaneduard8169 2 жыл бұрын
Idk why you say bias is reversed. I tested it and works as intended. Like if the slider is towards front, I'll have more front wheels braking force and if i move it towards rear, it increases rear wheels braking force.

100% Front Diff Acceleration? I would have thought you dont want wheel lock up on the Front wheels, as they are turning often.

Near 100, not at 100 👍. Forza physics just get a bit goofy when it comes to front grip so you can run very high diff lock without much downside
