Hey when I drain my fluid I only get two quarts I'm not messing with torque converter. That pan don't hold a gallon so can you leave fluid in torque conv and just drain and replace filter?

Yes. The drain amount will get you a general idea. The level may need to be added to to get it perfect.

The filter is the best place to start.

What is the name brand and transmission fluid you used? Dex/Merc?

On this vehicle I used what was provided. Walmart ATF. If it was my vehicle I would use Amsoil ATF. In a pinch valvoline synthetic ATF.

Changing the fluid is a service that should be done once a year.
