do younger people use it ? Grandpa would ask his grandchild : to whom are you talking ? - and this question has a "normal" construction. Normal - means as in my language ;) But a child asks : who are you talking to ? - this question is as a dance on the line for me - you never ask - from where are you?, you ask - where is this object taken from.
