Honestly, just getting to Master with those restrictions is something in abs of itself. Hell, getting to Master III was pretty good. You just gatta deal with sweater players in that rank range.

I really enjoyed this series and I would like to see another series similar to this one. What I mean by "similar" is: Seeing you play normal decks or at least coherent strategies, even if they get pulled apart by chat. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I don't like these progression or massochist type challenges where you scramble together your scraps and you have maybe a total of 2 - 3 "combos" in your deck (basically 1 card tutors another, and that's your combo; the rest are just random vanilla cards basically, because they can't really activate their effects). To me, the beauty in Yu-Gi-Oh! lies in the combos, the knowledge and mastery of your own deck(s) and how to adjust your gameplay to different strategies. Some archetypes can do that better than others of course, but that doesn't matter to me; even the simplest decks can do a little bit of adjusting. And I want to see you continue on that trend. Seeing you do some insane plays with all these different strategies given the circumstances you were in (some cards missing, sometimes even a whole engine missing) was so hype and so enjoyable to watch. To me, this was the best Yu-Gi-Oh! series on KZbin! It's a little sad though, that it's pretty hard to replicate, because you can't just create a new account and go from there without spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars to get not even all the meta decks, but also decks you usually play (and pulling so much, that you can just hard make a deck with UR dust is just unrealistic). That's why, if you ever come up with a more replicable challenge that has the modern Yu-Gi-Oh! flavor to it, that would be so cool, because watching you play is a blast as well as you have a very enjoyable streaming personality. So thanks for this amazing series! It was a blast!

In theory you could win by opening Exodia every single time. So its all about enough time spent to reach any rank. Now with Gen and Ken being in MD FTKs and Pseudo FTKs will start seeing play. So atm there is too much variance to beat any deck consistently.

New rule for season 2: Everytime Maxx C is activated and costs you a game, bring back 1 card. If you manage to win Maxx C challenge bring back 2 cards instead. This effect can only be used when Ash Blossom, Called by the grave and Cross out designator is not in your arsenal.

Mad props for taking this series as far as you did under the Master Challenge rules Coder! As for future challenges, I would consider Massochist, but it’s even harder than Master Challenge and would take even more time to get going. One idea I kinda want to see is some kind of Battle pack or Ranked Draft challenge style of challenge. It can be very creative to what kind of decks can be brewed up to take on the meta.

Tbh I think a fairly difficult challenge would be to climb from bronze to master 5 with ONLY common and rare cards. Flex that creative mind coder!

If you decide to do a similar challenge again, I think you should ease up the rules a bit. I know it's meant to be hard or whatever, but the game being unplayable isn't fun to watch, and I know it's not fun for you as the player. I think random bans and limits would be more enjoyable, wheel style maybe, instead of chat either banning to troll you or you having to gaslight them to keep playing. Then you can unban whatever you want to or lift limits as needed when you rank up. I'd also recommend having more decks in your arsenal before the challenge starts if possible, instead of it just being swordsoul/plunder/horus in rotation towards the later games. Overall loved the series though, Master 3 is a crazy accomplishment with these limitations. I probably couldn't do it myself lol so good job Coder! Can't wait for the next series.

Also having all possible Maxx "C" outs banned means that if the opponent has Maxx "C" in their hand that game might as well be lost, which isn't really fun to watch. I think that in order to do a challenge like this there has to always be at least one Maxx "C" out legal to avoid the countless times in this challenge Coder has said "He just had Maxx "C", nothing I could do"

The problem is that you used too many good cards in the beggining. From like rookie to platinum you need to be on stuff like amazoness and gladiator beasts. Basically fodder decks with no staples

Bro have you watched from the beginning? He reached Plat doing exactly that - Dark Magician, Cyberse pile and some Swordsoul games with little to none staples. The problem is that in Diamond and above having Maxx-C/Ash/Imperm is THE deciding factor in a lot of games and you can't just stumble your way up with 51% win ratio, because each loss forces you to take a step back and each win limits your options. Most players in top ranks play only meta decks and those going first are capable of making decent boards through 1-2 premium handtraps, let alone through 1 bad one or nothing at all and going second they can just activate the roach or break your board, unless you also play a top tier deck (or they terribly brick).

amazing ending, getting to Master with so many limited resources really got me hook on this challenge, i would really love to see how far can you take an archetype with little of the stapplers, yeah, we optimize the decks but so many cards gets left out because they are "Bad" i really think that would be fun to see

Hey Coder! I really enjoyed that voyage to master. Well played and much respect!!! If there is a challenge that comes to my mind then the "wheel of yugioh" challenge. it would be extremely fun to see you playing against another person, maybe a friend f yours or whoever and you spin the wheels of staples, types, attributes or archetypes and more. Im sure you already know about that but I would LOVE to see you playing that. The best part is that gambling or rerolling to hope for a deck or to play cards you have never played with before, so you gotta think of different strategies. Maybe you wanna give it a try. Maybe its also possible to interact with your viewers and duel them in that challenge.

ALL while Test out new decks in a different account 29:46 Coder should test decks that don't rely that much on staples (ike 40 card branded). otherwise this challenge becomes more difficult if you use staples that affect the playability of other decks (what happened to Umi)

You know, there is a lvl 8 dragon monster I found recently that special summons itself turn 2 that's a N-R rank monster with the effect to destroy enemy backrow by discarding a spell that would fit Horus very much... (and I found it because I was looking for cards to match with Tenpai)

Reverse chat ban list. You start with a deck and chat gives you a voted card for every win. Starts off tough but snowballs as you gain rank.

if you ever decide to bring this challenge back, what about an adjustment so that only engine/consistency cards can be hit? if you also want to make it so that decks don't get to stay playable for too long either, you could also change it so that each win is 2 cards hit down to 1 less copy playable (can be the same 2 or 2 different) or that each win is one card banned, instead of just a -1 hit each time (though that would probably make things extra difficult in a different way). also, maybe add some sort of pity unbanning for deranks, just so a bad luck streak doesn't just spiral everything out of control

I watched all of the Master Challenge videos, I think you should try saving this deck until you hit Master 5, but Traptrix is doing really well for me, helped me get to Master 3, I'm going to try to take it to Master 1, seems like the deck giving me the most success in this current meta format

I think it would be cool to do the similar concept but the opposite, as in instead of chat voting to ban a card they vote to add a staple, ie for one win you get 1 maxx c, the next another, and so forth. But you have to start in rookie with the starter deck

I think you should try the master challenge again, but it would be interesting if each rank you could have one card that cannot be banned at that rank but after ranking up it is auto banned. If you get to diamond with ash at 3 then you could say it cannot get banned at diamond, but when you get to master it is either auto banned or can then be banned

Challenge idea: Using opponents decks! Everytime you win or lose you have to swap to your opponents deck. You can veto 2 decks per rank and get a free veto for any to expensive decks.

The problem with the timer isnt that its short... sorta Its that all current decks take way more time to execute their turns, so the previously fair timer is now a constrain Not to mention that you actually lose a lot of extra time in between each play because the timer actually starts ticking before you have actual ability to control any state of play, in between animations, like placing the cards and the attack animations, I think you can miss up to 30 seconds on that, which is whats actually bad in the timer
