I agree with having zero confidence the Tundra engines will survive long enough to pay off your loan (Same with Taco's new transmissions) but I also know this will take years and years before the consumer loses confidence in Toyota so it will be some time before it would strongly affect their sales. A lot of those trucks cost almost as much as my house that I bought in 2002. I paid 24.8k for a brand new 2001 Silverado, and it's still running great. I can't believe people actually pay these prices.

This is what Americans need to do more in all aspects of our lives. People need to talk about these type of things and get the people well informed. Thank you for making this video and possibly a good first step to a better world.

Never buying new again ever. Restomod a classic with modern amenities, drive train, suspension, infotainment, etc for less.

the blame goes straight to the dealer and the manufacturer but mostly the dealer

I wonder how many of these "missing" vehicles are being resold at CoPart.

Got offered $1,000 for a 2007 chysler sebring in mint condition with 94,000 miles. Now that's ridiculous.

Man I had 30k 2 years ago to pick up a truck here in Michigan 30k cash money and every single dealer I went to told me we don’t want your cash we would rather you make payments. When I told them I wouldn’t be doing that BS again because I lost my last truck because I stupid enough to think I could make 500 dollar payments for 6 years. They just laughed at me when I told them I lost my truck with just 1 year of payments left one told me I was just living beyond my means. Smh I’m actually kinda laughing my ass off at them now. Nobody can afford 70+ dollar trucks who do they think they are kidding. Who knows maybe I’ll try to pick up another one next year I managed to save up enough money to try again.

It just means they might just have moved inventory, not necessarily sales..

Large numbers of them were sold at auction for a big loss. It's why places like CarMax are full of "used" vehicles with no miles.

All of the deal ships and their manufactures are nuts. I remember about a decade ago, that cars and trucks were getting at to expensive then. Now, it is insane. Most of these prices , a person can put a good down payment on a house., that probably won't depreciate . A car or a truck actually depreciates about 20% the minute you drive it off the lot.

Dealers make bank on service departments. Car sales mean nothing.

MSRP is a suggestion in the 90s. Everything was under MSRP all the time. The dealers have gotten so greedy that you're doing good if you get MSRP. Most want more for any vehicle!

I have a 2021 Silverado. It has been in the shop for 5 months because of engine issues. Covered under warrant. They cant fix it. They refuse to repurchase it. Ive spoken with over 10 people now that have had the same issue. They have all had to trade it in and buy a new truck. Chevy has been putting out trash and won't recall it to fix the issue with lifters & cam. DO NOT BUY A CHEVY--stay away from them. GM is refusing to repurchase the vehicle. I recently contacted an attorney. If you google the issue, there are tons of videos on the issue and how Chevy won't fix the problem.

When you have made things unaffordable, and ridiculously dumb additions to drive those prices up… you out did yourselves! Bring us simple vehicles… no power, buzzers, puters… just manual windows, locks, a real key… affordable, driveable… transportation to work type, not like I’m living in it… yet.

Wow - all of the inexpensive models are sold. And none of the expensive ones. Who would have guessed?
