A service dog is a great idea, my brother has one for his daughter, she has epilepsy and her service dog knows when she’s going to have a seizure before she even has one

Sometimes you just need a dog too! We have an Australian shepherd, and he will jump on my dad’s lap when his insulin level goes above 200. He has no training. Dogs are really good at sensing those things. But yes service dogs are amazing!

My Dad had this. His heart doctor went in intravenously to attempt the ablation, but realized it was super close to his a/v node. Thankfully, the doctor was a very ethical and good guy and chose not to do the surgery because of the concern about damaging the a/v node. So, he was referred to a doctor in Boston who specializes in that type of surgery. The doctor is the specialist that presidents, monarchs and dignitaries from around the world are sent to when they need this type of surgery done. The Boston doctor was able to completely eliminate the extra pathway. He has not had an episode in twenty years. I pray you find a doctor that is able to complete the ablation successfully.

Hi Soph and Taylor, I just wanted to comment to let soph know that definitely be careful drinking sweet teas and sugar as well! Some sweet teas have caffeine and can trigger those episodes. I get similar heart episodes and I’ve noticed staying away from caffeine in general and all sugary drinks has helped so much!

Praying for full healing over your heart, Sophia🙏 God’s will be done. He is a miracle working God & healed me of infertility (less than .01 detectable eggs) caused from cancer treatments. Several years after having my miracle daughter, the Lord healed my hormones (I could never produce my own after cancer treatments). During prayer I heard him say to stop taking my hormone replacement therapy medication. When I went to get checked I no longer showed signs of premature ovarian failure & early menopause. He also healed spots on my lungs years after I was in remission from cancer. He does the impossible for His glory🙌 praying His complete healing over you!!❤

The tannins in tea make your kidneys work harder which is why you NEED water! The darker the tint to fluids the harder for your body to digest. Also caffein is a diuretic so it can throw your electrolytes off and cause dehydration

I completely understand where you're coming from with the heart issue. I just had a loop recorder implanted 2 weeks ago for this reason. Mine will reach 210 and higher for 10-15 minutes. It feels as though someone has poured a bucket of water over me when it starts, like I could pass out. It's scary even though you know it will eventually stop. I tell everyone the same thing about feeling like you have ran a marathon after. Prayers for you in your process of working through the possibility of another ablation and getting the issue taken care of for good.

About a month ago my heart went into an A-flutter. I do have Afib, but I’ve never had this to happen. I was so scared. I had to go by ambulance to the hospital. It made my BP go up too. As of now I’m ok. They did tell me that if my Afib can’t be controlled by meds I may need to have an ablation. About two weeks after I got home, I had another episode of Afib. I had only been drinking water and I decided to drink a Sunkist. It has caffeine. So that caused that episode of Afib. Now I’m sticking to water only. You may want to cut back on the tea. That might be triggering it too. Prayers going up for you!!!!! Big hugs!!!!! 🙏🙏🙏🥰🥰🥰

Fellow WPWer here, mine, unfortunately, came back twice. Had 3 ablations, the final in 2020 by Dr. Po at OU Medical - HIGHLY recommend. Mine was a deep pathway near the Bundle of His, the previous doctor did not hold the ablation catheter on long enough to destroy the accessory pathway, but Dr. Po go it. I now have a pretty low resting heart rate (45ish) and I do have more shortness of breath and a higher heart rate during exercise/physical exertion, but the WPW delta wave has not returned! Unfortunately, Dr. Po explained that pathways can re-grow or your heart can grow new accessory pathways. Praying it does not come back & praying your doctor can get yours taken care of!

@nancymarie6128Ай бұрын
I have something similar, only difference is I have multiple “extra pathways”. So it was one of the rare cases… We found out at 4 years old, I was told it was SVT. They put me on medication it “went away” and only acted up when doing sports or exercise , only lasting 40seconds to 3 mins, But when I was 14 it got so bad I passed out got brought to the ER and they gave me some medicines to stop and restart my heart. By the time I was 18 I had 4 ablations . During my 1st pregnancy I had zero issues, but during labor my heart started and they had to push the medication to stop and restart my heart. All in all I’m 26 years old have 2 kids. 4 heart ablations, and still on medication for my heart. It acts up every now and then but unless I want a pacemaker it’s all I can do… I don’t have SVT I have junctional tachycardia . I can be laying down on the sofa watching tv chilling and then BAM💥 , my heart decides it’s “running a marathon” then when it stops just as fast as it starts. I definitely understand and get where you are coming from. I was finally told that the area my issue is if they would burn it it can cause even more problems as well as have a pacemaker. So I’m try my luck, no more ablations. Just on my medication pushing through. Honestly the ablations really didn’t help it seems like it causes “new pathways” to form in my opinion.

When i was 35 weeks pregnant, my heart rate went up to 200 bpm for like 5 HOURS and I went into the ER.. they tried some methods to see if my heart rate will go down but it didn’t work. Then they used the IV to “reset” my heart rate and it did eventually go down… they referred me to go the cardiologist and they say my heart, EKG, ECHO all looked normal. So till this day, I still don’t exactly what is happening. My baby is almost 11 months now. I still had 2-3 episodes of my heart rate going to 200 bpm and i was able to get it down by myself. Before the ablations he would have heart racing for hours at a time for days after not having anything for 5+ years. 3 months after the first procedure he also had a small chip(monitor) put in so his doctor can monitor his heart rate at all times, maybe something for you to consider.
