I remember when my school was doing a production of Midsummer Night’s Dream, and I got to play a really minor character. To be funny, I pretended to read one of my books, then when someone called my name during the play, I would pretend to startle and look up to say my line. The first time I did it, my teacher got mad cause he thought I was just reading during practice, but when he found out it was a bit, he loved it. He let me do it during the final play. And I got to read for most of the class cause he thought I was just in character.

I know the bit about other people's opinions was supposed to make me feel better, but it just reminded me that the few people I considered friends went behind my back and talked about what they didn't like about me, then stopped inviting me into group chats, and left me hanging so I felt lonely and hated, then wondered why I left everything related to them (not that they were talking to or acknowledging me anyway), and THEN wondered why I got upset about finding out the things they didn't like about me and why they weren't talking to me...
