I have the Nikon P900 and was lucky enough to take two photos of a daylight UFO over Hartlepool UK at 11.21am. It was black with angled wings, and lights ot propulsion system along the top edge.

show me, I saw a black rectangle in broad daylight. only a white circular light underneath. it was bell shaped from the side but rectangular looking up.

@@GenuineUFOs6833 Mine was in Chiswick, big black rectangle flying house roof height about the size of a 46inch TV matt black even in broad daylight. No sound. I was habing a BBQ with friends and we all saw it fly over us slowly and into the distance, took about 2 mins, I completely forgot to film it was we were all trying to figure out what it was from the silouette, no visible rotors or propulsion other than the white circle, the rest was just jet matt black. Seemed like it was magically floating and silently gliding along a horizontal track in the air.

My Nikon P950 is my main camera. I shoot 50 to 300 yards. This camera gets the job done. I don’t see me looking for another camera. It was only $700. Thanks for sharing your story with us. ❤❤❤

You said you weren't that pleased with the manual focus ring. It actually was one of the things that helped me decide to get a p950. Most bridge cameras use the settings wheel on the back for manual focus which overrides the original use for that wheel. Almost no cameras of this type use a rotation wheel aroud the lens like interchangeable lenses use. This is the closest you'll come to that on a bridge camera.

Might be just me, but in 2020... no touch screen. Bit of a, well actually a huge bummer. Overall a nice and especially fun camera to use I think.

The screen would activate through your clothes when the camera hangs around your neck. It's really easy to control it with buttons. All the buttons and dials need to be there anyway for settings control. Might as well use them for menu navigation and scrolling through photos.

I simply love my P-950 it as a fabulous camera 📷, I took incredible sun set shots. Over the North Atlantic off the Scottish islands, and incredible moon capture during the Waning moon,, I think it’s just as good as the P-1000 despite its 1000mm less zoom range , there really isn’t that much difference,,but the P-950 is lighter and the image quality is just fantastic 👍

it needs a thermal imaging choice setting. super infrared. THEN youll see them. and you need to take footage and watch it slowed down and you can see things that are zomming around sometimes. Invisible to human eyes.

Great for everyday photography. A excellent weapon, for when your DSLR fails (forget to recharge or ya drop it). Perfect for telephoto shoots within a 1500mm range. RAW capable, for those that have a gluttony of time to sit & edit. If, however you are not gonna do a plethora of videography in HD(Trump rallies or wildlife or reconnaisance), which is what these mega-zooms are designed for, save your money and purchase a DSLR with a 300mm multi-purpose lens. If getting into studio/street/architecture photography, get yourself a Fuji mirrorless or a the Nikon D5600.

I have such a dilemma whether to take the p950 and try something new or buy a Sigme 18-35 1.8 for my D5300 I'm tempted by the large zoom of the p950 but I'm afraid that the photos will not be as sharp and exposed as in dlsr

They definitely won't be as sharp but you'll be able to get photos that you can never get with a DSLR. It's a different form of art.

For the moon I would suggest a sky tracker mount such as this astrobackyard.com/ioptron-skytracker-pro-review/ you can attach a variety of optics to that mount. I would suggest a camera like the nikon P950 or Sony RX10. Those cameras have the best image sensor size to focal length ratios that I'm aware of. Get mirrorless Sony A7s modified to full spectrum and good zoom lens for low light performance because UFO's are most often visible or use IR or UV filters as well polarizer, alien ships might be using cloaking. A7s is basically like military color night vision. If you need most compact camera get Sony Xperia Pro I phone. I have for sale full spectrum modified Samsung A52s phone and Sony A3000 APS-C camera

What an uneducated comment. Nikon and Panasonic both make different types of cameras, some better, some worse, depending on cost. They have different abilities. Nikon P950 is way better than a Panasonic FZ70 or 80. A Panasonic mirrorless will be better than a Nikon superzoom. If you compare these two brands, compare similar camera types. Nikon's super zoom is a lot better than Panasonic's.

This is not hate mail by the way this is not a hater of Nikon I had a Nikon D7000 for about a year I was not impressed after all of the advertising back in 2012 about that camera the JPEGS were very disappointing the pictures overall okay I wasn't impressed even the raw files were not that impressive, 16 megapixels is a joke the biggest file I got out of that was 18MB. 16MP is outdated, 1-2/3 sensors are garbage, the shallow F2.8 -6.5 an absolute waste...and for $800???????????

The sensor has to be that small in order to make the zoom possible. And for a sensor to that size, it's best not to pack in the pixels. 16 is enough.
