Pro painting tip: When priming; if you're priming an already white wall, have them tint your primer similar to, but not identical to your finish color. That way you can see where you've already painted, AND how good the coverage is. And since the primer is ALSO different enough from the finish color as to be noticable, you can see the same thing when you put up the final paint. 😉

Just so you know the reason the both of the kitties were up on the highest point of that cat condo is to stay warm. The ground is cold and heat rises. Cats hate cold and will always find the warmest place to chill. Oh...and I'm so happy for you all. The house looks amazing and you all deserve to enjoy living there after all that hard work. A long time ago, my cat used to sit in a spot just in front of the garage in winter. The snow would always melt first right at that spot. Smokey knew the warmest spot to bask in. 🐈😸

@@tvcat3665 ... back when I did plumbing and there was a problem with radiant heat in the floor, my first question to the customer was asking if they had a cat. If they said yes, the next question was if they recently found a new place to sleep on the floor. The warmest spot is the leak!

Gooooood Afternoon Al & Gina , After seeing the MPR almost finished , I still think that three or four sky lights in the ceiling would have been appreciated. It is almost impossible to have too much light in a room such as that. Al , as a singer , you are a very good carpenter / builder.

This is just a side observation. When you are in the porch, office, sun room & look through the door to the rest of the house, it makes the house inside look so cozy & inviting. When you're standing in the living, kitchen area & look through the door to the sun room area, it makes that area look really warm & inviting! :o) It's all perfectly lovely!

Al, I’ve found that I appreciate and enjoy singing far more than others enjoy my singing. So I sing for me. The MPR is looking so good! On a handyman, do-it-yourselfer, having something on all your clothes, is part of the character description.

We use cotton drop cloths. Bought them at Lowes many years ago. They absorb the paint, are reusable and won’t go to a landfill.

This new property will be off the grid. Where they are currently at is on the grid. More and more people are moving to new land and using solar and digging wells and septic tanks and some type of wood burning heater.
