Hi there, If you route the T line from the rotating valve you mounted back to the P1 or P2 on the valve chest, I'm afraid the bucket wouldn't move, or really slowly move because it also uses the T port to get rid of the oil on the B line if you are sending pressure to the A line. Maybe you could try a hydraulicaly actuated check valve(for example: VUPSL10001W) in the T line. And use the pilot oil from the EPPR valves to open the check valve so the oil can get out of the rotate valve, back to the tank. Or you could fit a hydraulicaly actuated hammer valve in the P from the main pump and activate it the same way as mentioned above.

Thanks exactly my plan I’ve a pilot operated check valve ordered I’ll put it between the pump and valve and use the eppr pilot lines to open it 👍

You need a valve with all ports closed in neutral position the valve you have fitted is p to t so it will dump the oil

I was hoping I could shed some light on your situation so I went and took a couple belly plates off my machine today to see how my rotator valve is set up but it pulls flow from an additional gear pump like what you fit to the 225, my second aux circuit runs off the option spool. Is there any way you can pull flow from the option spool which would then wake up the pump and you can do away with the shuttle valve? Another unorthodox thought, some machines have a valve that combines both pump feeds so you’re not starving one of the pumps, like a straight travel valve if I remember right. If you could some how actuate that valve when working the rotator you’re going to have better more even flow across the rest of the functions. Really fascinating these hydraulic mod videos and when you step back and think about it, hydraulic control with modern technology really is amazing. All the best today, I’m sure you have it sussed

Thanks I appreciate your effort 👍 so this machine is already equipped with rotate just like the 225 it also has a 2 pump kit which is where I plumbed in those shuttle valves (the second try 😂) but yea the mistake I’ve made was using that rotate valve as it’s open center to work with the gear pump I should have used a closed Center valve therefore my oil wouldn’t remain in the system until I used my second 2 way function so I’ve got a pilot operated check valve which will simulate a closed Center valve

Hi Ali. Thank you for the video. I have an idea and correct me if I missed something.. Watching you fight the 160 and at the same time work on the 140 I noticed that the valve chests look very similar. So is it not possible to take the dozer blade valve from the 140 and the way it's plumbed, and mount it straight on to the 160? This would give you a 2 way service in a sort of factory fit and all the plumbing would work...

Yea that’s what I did for their -5 but the new -7 doesn’t have the option to add an extra slice like the dozer valve your right the valve chest is the same but because the 140 was ordered with a blade it comes with a slightly different control valve otherwise it would have been much easier 😂

A smaller bore pipe to feed the valve which would slow the flow of oil coming away from the pump?

I need the oil flow for the grab if the pipe diameter is smaller the grab will move too slow

Despite what has been said ref valve problem. Credit to you Ali, a lot of people wouldn’t think outside the box when in a bind (re fittings) & engage in “what is around me, what can be done”, been in that situation many times, even cold called in places I don’t know & left them “something” to say thanks, & yes your right about “what have I forgot”. Solved many problems by either thinking after hours, or even subconsciously when sleeping, woke many times & scribbled notes. 👍
