This is some great content! Just passed core 1 comptia A+, and even though I passed it I still feel very uncomfortable with the idea of sitting down as a new tech and getting to work on real tickets. These videos have helped get a sense of what to expect.

Hey Kev! I just wanna say thank you for all the help that you are giving to us. I just got my first Help-desk job without COMPTIA A+ and I'm gonna start on June 1st. You are one of the people that really helped me a lot getting my first job in IT. I followed your advice about applying and applying in an IT jobs. From 100+ jobs that I applied only 1 company who hired me. Thank you again and God bless you Kev!

@bluetech71282 жыл бұрын
@@garylove2836 It's a luck sometimes. You will just have to build you resume. If you don't have A+ you might have to just add some experiences like you are doing labs/ etc. Then just apply to every jobs even they ask for A+.

Thanks Kevin, I'm looking to get into IT again starting with level 1 help desk. I had 6 months of experience working with a small IT company a long time ago. I did work with Active Directory, networks, domains ect. It was mostly onsite boots on the ground type work, but I was young and it was probably 10 years ago. Your videos have been helping boost my confidence in this field. Are you still doing the live training on Saturdays? Either way, thanks for the informative videos.
@KevtechITSupport2 жыл бұрын
I do live interviews. I don't do training as much. Glad it helps.

Just came across your content today and love it! I did notice though, when you downloaded the Adobe Creative software you clicked on a sponsored link or advertised link to download it. Is that a generally safe practice? I was always told not to click on those just because it is a breeding ground for phishing attacks. Thanks for your content though! It's been helping me get an idea of what to expect for my first IT job =)

You need to know which website is the right one. In this instance I knew it was the right website because of experience. Normally, you don't go to random websites to download stuff. It's either packaged or someone will give you a url.

You can login and ask for their password. It depends on the person and if they let you do that.

You're videos are helping me a lot, thank you very much an keep up the awesome work 💪🏾 But men why just 360p and 1080p? I have to choose between a great quality where the lags are kickin in or quality that's as good as my calculator 🤯

1080 runs well for me and everyone else. That might be a connection issue with your isp.

Because here you doing everything on your computer. Do you have another video, how are you connecting to the users PC to resolve their issues?

Hi Keven, I had been watching your content lately. Thanks for creating them. Very helpful. I just wanted to ask you a question on IT job searching. I’m a Chinese international student in Australia, majoring master of business information system management, and I just wanted to land my first job as a service desk analyst. After doing job searching for 1 month without hearing back from any company, I decided to take CompTIA A+ to gain some advantage. My question is given that I don’t have any IT experience , how likely do you think it would be for me to I be able to land my first job with CompTIA A+ certificate? Thanks again for your content and they helped a lot!
@KevtechITSupport4 жыл бұрын
That's sounds like me. I had no IT experience and I was able to get a job with just comptia a+. I recommend creating a lab at home and do hands on training with server 2016 and exchange. Watch professor messer for the a+ and build a lab at home.

Hey Kev, I see that some position requirements ask for experience with previous versions of windows server. Would you say that the processes are relatively the same with new versions?

Yes, you would need to understand learn active directory on server 2016 and server 2019. Definitely, you will need to understand account creation and some stuff on domain controller. Pretty much the same.

When you download to your help desk account is it automatically downloaded to all users on the domain or do you have to remote in to the pc and run it as admin and download it to them specifically?
