“Eventually”. Life just sucks from the get go. In your earliest years you have no control over anything and then you get shoved into a shitty education/daycare system that desperately needs to be revamped. We have major infrastructure problems in our country. Capitalism is dying because the government only supports big businesses. We’ve stagnated in terms of jobs because at some point we just settled 5 days and 40hrs instead of increasing wages and lowering the work week like we had done before (not forcibly or artificially like government is trying to, but naturally because it just doesn’t make that much sense to work that often for most jobs). Income taxes are... yeah getting shoved into a locker is the best analogy, and that’s the least terrible part. Then because U.S. tax law makes so little sense (or maybe it does make sense and they’re just really pro super rich people) the richer you are the more write offs you can do to pay less in taxes. Just try mapping out or outlining your life (school, college, career, retirement, death) and take a look at it; it’s depressing. Life just sucks in general and then people make worse. Maybe it gradually gets worse, but I mean I HATED life as a kid because I had no freedoms, no worth, was forced to go to school (when probably 5 out of 8 hours I was either learning something pointless (still never learned how to do my taxes or balance a check book or health insurance or all the “common sense” bullshit I know had to figure out myself) or just doing literally nothing and wasting life) and that lasted over a decade. Life Definitely didn’t get “better” from then, but it just always sucked. God, do I hate that we’re born into this world of no choice of our own and then expected to be grateful for the shitty lives we have to live.

I kinda got a kick out of it for that.... but my girlfriend wouldn't even come over my house because of it. Luckily (sigh), it finally croaked after stuffing its face with dry cat food, it burgled from the cupboard. I found out later, that Iguanas need much more light than most owners can ever provide, so their "rutting" cycle gets extended indefinitely. Otherwise he would have been ornery for only about a month or so, once a year. RIP.... IGGY POP ... fierce berzerker lizard, had 6 long terrifying years lurking in my house.

From a fly infestations that I can never remove to weird fungal disorders that we all have...because of the turtle. Did I mention it hisses at me when I feed it and only I feed it. My husband changes it’s cage water which honestly is too much for me to handle without gagging. I knew quite a few gay people who were "against" gay marriage for similar reasons, one of them said "Why would we want to get married?
