The way to not be scared by horror is realizing that unless it’s some true crime stuff, it’s a production. Its appreciating the technical skill needed to make a shot, or imagining a man in a rubber suit eating lunch.

That's a cultural thing. For some people, it's the men inside the rubber suits that are scary to begin with. Sort of like how the Jigsaw puppet isn't really scary (just off-putting at best), but getting locked in an elaborately built torture basement was scary enough to make SAW compete with The Grudge when they both released.

I think this is why Mandela Catalogue is so scary to begin with. There is no man in a rubber suit, and the whole thing was made from a phone. The horror here is created from your imagination, and the context of the situation, not anything we can physically look at. And just imagining yourself in a situation like Mar's or Adam's is incredibly horrifying.

She always has the video's volume lower than hers. It's always hard to hear the videos she watches. I always hate that I have to increase my device's volume high enough to hear the video but my ears will still get assaulted by her loud voice whenever she screams, yells, or shouts. She needs to figure out how to balance this honestly.

Gonna lay out some recommendations There's the "monument mythos" stuff also analog horror though a fair bit different with the subject of monsters Xploshi has some excellent animations so I'd say "soulcorp shopping channel" best fits a similar vibe Second to last THE AMAZING DIGITAL CIRCUS: PILOT less creepy and more comedy based but it was directed by a prominent animator who makes odd and creepy animations on KZbin gooseworx Though leaning more towards horror by gooseworx's I'd say either little runmo or blue channel (blue channel is probably the closest to analog horror)

In case you are wondering Adam and Jonah’s names are inspired from the Bible. - Adam was tempted by the serpent to eat the forbidden fruit from the Tree of Knowledge and was punished for it. Adam Murray went down to the basement because he wanted to find out what’s down there. - Jonah was commanded by Jesus to go to a city but refused him and ran away only to fall into the ocean and swallowed by a whale. Jonah Marshall tried to warn Adam to not go down stairs but then they started arguing leaving Adam behind and Jonah fleeing.

I honestly think after finishing Mandela Catalogue you should take a look at Vita Carnis. It's another analogue horror series, but very different from any others I have seen. It would make for great content.

i don’t usually comment on any videos but I’ve never seen anybody react to this and always have wanted to watch a reaction to it so I highly recommend listening to “i'm a guard stationed at a secret government prison” it’s a creepy pasta written story made by The Dark Somnium who makes a lot of stuff like this. it feels like a mix of an scp report and an anime, I listened to it when it was coming out and now it even has a single video cut into parts to make it easier to cut into parts each about 20 or so minutes on average. I think you’ll enjoy it seeing as you have been enjoying scp stories and the like. It very much so has a scp feel to it especially in the beginning. There’s also a few anime and game Easter eggs. Love the vids and keep that sweet sweet content coming in Alicia!

This comment won’t matter because it’s about me, but I just want to say something about how I clean my ears. I clean my ears w/ Qtips. I always knew it was not good for me since 5 years or so ago, but my mom always uses Qtips for ear cleaning, and she says “if you push the Qtip directly in the center of your ear, it’ll avoid the wax.” Which I highly doupt that’s how it works or whatever, but I still clean with Qtips to this day because of my mom.

It's a 45 minute watch, but I don't think there's a better atmospheric horror video on this platform. Also I highly recommend just binging the supplemental Mandela Catalogue videos in a single go.

Like others have said if you continue this series, PLEASE watch the other videos aside from the Volume videos. They add much needed context as to the story and the alternates. "Overthrone," "Intruder Alert," etc. The T.H.I.N.K. Principle is just the same video incorporated into Volume 1 with minor differences (Just to show the viewer the alternates have messed even with law enforcement official material.
