I discovered your channel about 3 weeks ago. I have watched about 15 episodes. Very interesting content and fairly done. The thing I miss is see what happens to the bottles you dig. Do you keep and display them, sell them to antique collectors, trade them with other collectors? I, for one, can only watch so much of bottles being dug out of the ground and not seeing their destinations. The short display of cleaned bottles at the end of the video's is interesting. Please, consider going further in the final destinations and lives of these precious finds. Thanks

I agree with chris but I have a question. when I was a teen near Folsom Ca. near the prison and near the american river, I loved to dig in old dump sites. I found two bottles that a old lady told me that they were whiskey boot flasks. they were concave in shape and a bit purple in color. I was sent to Asia and never seen them again. What were they in your expert opinion?

Rawleigh is from my hometown Freeport, IL. I collect anything from that company as they sold many types of products. Mr. Rawleigh traveled all over the world to get the best ingredients. Even though the factory has been closed for 20 to 30 years, it is still standing. I love it when he finds those bottles.

Still surprises me that America had prohibition, as so many British people went to your country. As an English person, having any excuse to drink is in our culture. I have not done any digging in years but recently while camping in a remote area of Utah came across a circa 1915 prospectors dump that was mostly buried by a small sand dune. Was really fun to dig it up and see what they were using. Because it was on federal land I was compelled to leave it all there for the next person to find some day.

You probably know by now that the big piece of metal you found was the top of an old fashioned ice cream maker. It made homemade ice cream which people still do today. Now they are electric instead of the hand crank. Your piece was missing the crank as well as the container to hold the makings of the ice cream as well as the bucket that the container went in. You probably know all this by now though. You sure find some interesting old stuff.

Listen to the opening music to HOW THE WEST WAS WON, there's a line in there that says "I'm the only good guy here on the prairie, where the wind blows so hard, you have to walk sideways to keep from flying..."!---At 71, I'm still in love with dolls, & I would have wanted to stop a few minutes right there & cleaned up those pretty faces.

All of these digs in the (1900-1920) period, one wonders with few whiskies, but majority of pharmas - if these weren't all dumped as part of the legislation and dry counties of ND and SD before 1920, leading up to total Prohibition 1920 and dumping all alcohols.

Have you boys ever considered going out of country ? Say... across the pond? England, France ? Europe in general? You want old? Well, there you go! What about the New England states? Or work your way down the "midwest corridor" like, north to south. No doubt "they " all had an outhouse or too . Have you thought about famous houses and their backyards? Possibly, the Lizzie Borden House? Rumor and speculation at the time was that Lizzie had thrown the murder weapon axe 🪓, and the bloody clothes she had worn during the murder of her father and stepmother into the privie/ outhouse. No evidence. No conviction. A change in location could do your bank account well !! Hapy Digging, cat taylor
