Tyson, you've got a good head on your shoulders so don't listen to rhe naysayers. You're doing things right the first time. All the best for the shop build. Looking forward to your success.

It great to see the slab going in Tyson. I can't believe you don't want some keyboard warrior telling you how to build it! lol Seriously, you are very smart to raise the floor well above grade, no problems with water intrusion later that way. Its going to be great when it s done! Stay safe my friend.

Excellent plan. I was a footing foreman for some big buildings in Burnside for a couple of years. You're doing it right. It's so good to hear you paying such attention to the details. You've got a lot on the go. Cottage, chalet, homes...this'll give you a place to sit and think, hopefully smile too.

My garage is on a similar slope, basically a dusting of gravel down in one corner and built up 12" in the opposite corner, and then had to fill in all around it when it was done. That was a fun task for a guy like me who only has a tractor, a string and a level.

Wow I think that's a great idea having a little pit there for the public

Good job and video Brother. Can’t wait to see the shop get built, so the 550 can park in the heated building in the winter. It’s good to see the old 550 in the video.

Good call on the grade... perfect No pooling of water around buildings

You’re doing the shop the same way I do it also.

Don't forget you'll want 100ft or so in front of your shop doors. (25ft semi+53ft trailer). So if you're putting them in the back, you've got quite a bit of clearing to do.

This is what google said about the idle...I have no idea what they are trying to say but maybe u do. To extend the idle on a Kenworth T880, you can use the Kenworth Idle Management System (KIMS): With the key in the off or accessory position, turn on the KIMS Turn on the HVAC controls and select your desired temperature The KIMS will keep the electrical power on to run the sleeper air conditioner, heater, television, refrigerator, and other appliances

Pretty sure the dealer has to change the settings so it doesn't shut off

Do the digital gauges in the new T880 always disappear when you put it in reverse?
