Nigerians don't even feel we've done anything yet. So, it is shocking for us to see Ghanaians losing their minds.

The problem with Ghana is that they feel they should be the ones getting the recognition Nigeria is getting. They always think they are superior and shouldn’t be learning nothing from Nigeria. Jealousy and envy will not allow them to learn from Nigeria. Nigeria will continue to grow and soar higher because we are always ready to learn, improve and do better.

Ghanians should stop saying: Nigerians learn music from them! It is so insulting to hear that a "Fela" came to Ghana to learn music! How? Who and who in Ghana was making his type of music before Fela's first visit to Ghana (Fela has been a musical artist for 10 years before his first visit to Ghana). Do you guys even know Fela's history? "The first Nigerian to release a music album was Canon Josiah Jesse Ransome-Kuti, Fela Anikulapo’s grandfather and Wole Soyinka’s great grandfather. He released it in 1878 and his last album was released in August 1921. His works are still kept at the British Museum". This is the same Fela that is being insulted by Ghanians! Marketing cost money; Nigerians won't spend their money to promote another artist.

It is ridiculous to think that Nigeria will spend money and invest in other peoples music first before their own music. We all used to wear Levi Jeans and New York T- shirts, and face caps and Adidas shoes. These foreign companies push their own products out first. The Nigerians are pushing Afrobeat music , they are truly creating a taste for African music out there. This whole jealousy and beef is ridiculous. And they did it without Government assistance, it was only later when they became successful that their Govt became involved. I think it is time to come together as Africans because Music is the Gift God gave Africa for the world.

Point of correction, the international acceptance of Nigerian music isn't a deliberate attempt; it happened naturally. The artists were simply making music for Nigerians and the world embraced it... The problem with Africa is that they see someone thriving in one sector and boom!, everyone wants to go there. Ghanaians doesn't have to kill themselves to be like Nigerians in entertainment. Look for an area where you have competitive advantage and focus on it.

Basically, he said Nigerian Gospel Artistes had replaced their American counterparts globally exporting The Gospel thru Music. Once upon a time, It was The American but Today around the World, we listen to Nathaniel Bassey, Sinachi, Dunsin, Frank Edwards etc...on Gospel arenas worldwide...That breeds a lot of Envy. None of Ghanaian artists doing afrobeat has been in the game for more than 7 years and when they do afrobeat every body including Ghanaians say they sound Nigerian. Lol They sound Nigerian because afrobeat is a Nigerian sound. And they are making waves more than their colleagues in Ghana because they got it right. Although you can claim it all you want people knows Nigerian sound when they hear it. Originator asking a learner to teach him what he originated, It's like South African artists asking Nigerian artists to teach them Amapiano. It doesn't make sense but to a Ghanaian it makes 100% sense. Hahahahahaha.

Part of the reason Terminator is doing well is because King Promise rubbing shoulders with Wizkid! And if you listen to the song very well, Its got that Naija vibe and we Nigerians feel it. Nevertheless, we Nigerians really don't care for what's going outside of our music industry. Nigerians collectively have this confidence and belief in ourselves that we can do whatever we aspire to do and we push that energy in our respective endeavors. This music success just didn't start today. I remember when Nigerian music sounded like rubbish, but we have always supported it. Cameroonians, S. Africans and especially Ghanaians keep coming for Nigerians and I find it really appalling and sad at the same time they keep coming for us. We really don't pay attention to what's going on outside our industry. Cameroonians is the one that surprising.... trying to feel among, lol. My word of advice for Ghanaians.... Be yourself, charity begins at home and as you lay your bed so you shall lay on it. So if you hate, your not doing yourself any favours.
