Yes. They had the root clearance but what happened to the 60 degree V? Also how do you weld into iron oxide from the flame cut - plus no V? As others have mentioned maybe 25% penetration. Wonder how long the always overloaded truck lasted afterwards?

They have to overload the trucks to get the job, then drive a dangerous vehicle to make money. After that they have to spend the money they made for repairs. Not an ideal system.

so that's a broken axle no that looks like its been cut up to look like a broken axle and the back end of the axle been fix up be for , can see the cuts in the axle . on the bearing shaft where the bearing sits had it , there been no oil or Greece on or in axle for some time where the axle shaft gos in got lot of rust in the ends didn't clean the part where you groove for welding
