Those are wago connectors, great for wiring a house. They make connecting wires together much easier and safer. Airsoft use not so much.

Not gona lie, the pinion screw unscrewing itself and digging a groove in the gearbox happened to me too. I put red locktight on it but its still came loose during play. Only noticed the day after when i opened it back up to inspect things. Warhead motors just don't give a damn and keep going. Felt like the screw was just slightly too small. A screw from an shs pinion fit much better and tighter. Never came loose again.

When I was getting my springs produced I tested some with a black zinc coating. I didn't notice any flaking (wasn't really looking close enough) but I did notice that it lowered the spring power by 5% compared to the non-coating version. Anti-rust coating, but I suspect for some brands they use it to mask poor quality steel - confirmed by the spring engineer at the factory. My 2 pennies. 2 things to look for, weight and length consistency in a brand and shrinkage over time.

That ring where the motor is fitted to box is from the grub screw backing out had the same problem on the first warhead I fitted and learn very quickly to use stronger lock tight in that location 😂 100% he knows that came loose as it was done back up 😂😂😂

I was so fortunate when i started playing that there were people in my local community that really knew how to fix things and actually had good advice to give. It is hard not to feel bad for people that make what are becoming common mistakes because when you first get into airsoft it isn't a channel like yours you will stumble across first, it's always the crap from people with no real experience fixing these things or have no good understanding of the industry from the inside. It really pains me to see some new player with a broken $500 gun at the sight with the obvious look of defeat and confusion on their face and when you tell them it's going to be well over $200 to make it work properly you never see them again. I love airsoft but i really hate the airsoft community.

Really interested in the difference between a li-po and li-on battery and what you think about them.
@Debbiebabe69Ай бұрын
Technically a li-po is a type of li-ion, and the 18650 cell (what people normally call a li-ion) is another. Both have a nominal voltage of 3.7V per cell. So you need a 2S for 7.2V application or 3S for 11.1V application. As long as the battery can supply the current (more of that later), both will perform exactly the same as regards how well they turn the motor and hence shoot the bb. 18650s store more power for the same size/weight, giving you greater battery life. They also physically last longer before they die. Li-pos however have a couple of advantages - firstly they can be made in any form, you are not stuck with set size cylindrical cells as with 18650s. If your lipo is 8mm too long to fit in your gun, you can buy one 8mm shorter. Secondly lipos have better 'C' factor, which is the max current as a ratio of total capacity. What this means for an AEG is a smaller cell will still be able to handle the current. If you want to fit your battery in a very cramped space and dont mind having to swap batteries during a days play to be able to use smaller batteries, lipos are the way to go. For bulkier 18650s, C-factor is not an issue in airsoft - unless you buy the garbage chinese 'UltraFire' cells, all 18650s can push enough current. The only issue with 18650s is you need to fit 3 of them in your gun to run 11.1V. If you use 18650s a lot, you get to learn about the capacity and C-factor limitations and how to build your battery to best meet your needs. Digital cigarettes, airsoft guns, mobile phone power banks, RC vehicles, electric bikes, electric cars, and power walls all commonly use 18650s in various setups. Li-polys are mostly used in mobile phones and RC aircraft. Lifepo is another chemistry, far more stable (ie less chance of a lithium battery becoming a lithium bomb), but FAR more expensive and FAR heavier - only just lighter than lead. They are probably an even better choice than 18650s for powerwalls (if not for the cost), and commonly used for RV leisure batteries, offgrid setups, and as the 'starter' battery in both ICE and electric cars (never as the traction battery in EVs though, FAR too heavy).

So here is a question you probably get asked ALL the time but I wouldn't know which video has your answer. What would be your choice for the best, quality, general purpose Airsoft AEG that you would be happy to work on should it need it (not that it will happen because I fully intend that it will never need unfucking due to a balanced unstressed build so that any visitations from the fuck up fairy will be to normal wear and tear of consumable components) Wouldn't want it super fast or super powerful - pushing those boundaries compromises reliability spoils others fun just reliable and really good quality in regards to the key non consumable components. Caveat: my daughter's boyfriend is into Airsoft and she is tagging along with his spare rifle which to be honest is a noisy ropey thing that I feel you would just send back as a box of bits - I have not been allowed near it to pull it apart. My aim is to get both her and me really good rifles that will last her for as long as possible. I am not an Airsoft tech - but I have been known to pull aeroplanes apart so the bits can be inspected and put them back together again (think along the lines of Airbus and Boeing) - so having watched a bunch of your videos I have a fair notion of what needs doing and the physics involved, and have done real firearms for a long time but Airsoft is new to me. Edit: In case you can answer, budget for each rifle is around a monkey but is flexible for the right ones, and if you know the model and have recommendations for internal mods that you would do, I promise I won't butcher them!
