I love mega Sabelye, magic bounce is a great ability. The hype for “high class” sets ruin it for me before the set even gets released. It’s the sets that always bring new people in and I do not mind new people at all. It’s the people that come in for the “high class” sets that try to be party of the “investor” side of it.

Funny enough, three of my favorite cards from the s&v era all have crowns. The Garchomp ex SIR, Lapras ex full art and Slowking ex full art. 🤷‍♀️ I honestly like most of the full arts with the crowns - even more so than the illustrations, so I guess that's my hot take for the era. 😩

I think the whole terastal gimmick is what will hold this set back in the long term. Regardless of how important a mechanic it is in the game for this gen (I have no idea about that stuff), it just doesn't translate well onto cardboard.

Can we find a balance? Value of pulls but ease to buy? Twilight Masquerade is doing a great job IMO selling about MSRP now and Greninja around $300. I support ease to buy but wish some cards would keep value more, worth searching out and opening more packs. That's the half the fun of the hobby for me, loving what I pull more than what I buy outright.
