i have a fear of opening the meeting with the CIO, i fear he would start raising more questions, how i can overcome

Well, first of all, you should not fear anyone at work. And if you feel threaten by people around you - it's a super toxic environment. Second, the best way to navigate such situations is to say something like, "I don't know the answer from the top of my head. Let me check my data/talk with team and I'll get back to you (write a message, email, etc.)" Third, I would analyze why you fear unexpected questions. Is it a lack of knowledge and skills? Or do you lack understanding of what the CIO really needs from you. In this case, you need to openly talk this through. Most probably, you can prepare the information they need.

I want to know what makes it stressful.. Coz I find it uncomfortable and stressful to write tons of codes.. My qn is, do projects managers writes code? Or does he need to be a master in coding? So what makes it really hard and stressful?

Project management is stressful because you hold ultimate responsibility for success of the project. At the same time, you might not have full control and authority over the project. Therefore, you need to take responsibility for work of others based on your relationships/leadership skills. In the real life, you should also add the fact that some project stakeholders are jerks with power and authority. So, you need to handle that as well. Sometimes there conflicting requirements which may put you in a difficult spot because you need to address needs and want of different people. This list can go on an on.
