The Petersens are my favorite band consisting of a family of wonderful musicians and singers. This song features the one "Adopted Petersen" Emmett Franz who is a master of the Dobro. This is a resonator guitar that in the right hands, like Emmett's, can make such wonderful sounds that it seems to come alive as if another person. This band is "for real" with genuine live talent, not artificially constructed talent like so much in the musical world of today. Check out their other videos and you won't stop watching!

I'm not sure why that is but when he was with the Franz family band, he was quite funny: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZekoGupa7ypiMU. I think perhaps it was because he was the youngest of the group but with the Petersens he's like the elder statesman and must carry himself in a much more dignified manner, stiff upper lip and all ;-)
