Front hand super man punch is a great set up for right leg kick. Pettis kept almost landing a right hand but falling short and switching to a superman for extra distance was super smart. If your opponent steps backward off of a feint, definately follow up with a superman to try it out.

I'll give this a try when sparring tonight. The terminology you used was confusing to me at first. One of the styles of martial arts I train, Wu Yin Tao and we call the left hand punch the back fist punch and the right hand punch is the front punch when the left leg is forward. This I won't get into the reasons why we do this, but it took me a minute understand what you were talking about when you were saying the back hand and front hand.

Hey Stephen Thompson great video I hope you don't mind me saying a few points first off GSP used both hands just his jab more but the reason why it was so effective was it could disguise his level changes and chain it together with takedowns and if they thought he was going to takedown he would instead jab

I like superman punch with backhand after i kick a couple of times with push kick or something so i try to bait him to lower his hands.but front hand superman i think is too risky and less effective for what you risk.i prefer have a good jab with some headmovement than front hand superman but watever maybe ill try it.it looks fun.wonderboy i started watch more of your fights recently and dude i become bigger and bigger fun.i m better at boxing to be honest but i think your style is very similar with boxing side stance and leg to the side(hard for checking kicks but who cares if your leg isnt there when kick comesxD),in and out movement.beautiful movement man im really jealous of your skills and cardio.propably the most exciting fighter for me right know even if im bigger fun of boxing.keep going man i really enjoy your fightsxD
