If I am doing DBs, I always frame the DBs all the way around them or if they don't want that I will put trunking on the top and the bottom. Then you can gland into the trunking at the bottom and give yourself room.

Hi Tony, you're obviously thorough and a detail guy, so may I ask is there a reason that you don't drill and bolt the 'Banjo's' when you set out and drill your Gland plates out! It would seem more efficient as you do all your drilling one hit! Just wondered, or is it carried out by others? Love the Channel. Keep up the good work! ✊🏻 Regards Martin

I don't drill them until the lock nut is tightened onto the gland as they can move slightly and I find it a hindrance if the bolt is in place to get grips onto the lock nut properly. It would be a lot more efficient to do all the drilling at once but it can cause problems down the line.

It would have had to go in first and I was worried it would hinder me getting L2 and L1 in. I think it would have looked bad either way but that was the decision I made to make the other 3 cores easier to install. Sometimes they just fall awkwardly.

I just ask people on site when I arrive. I'm aware that there are apps and websites that you can use but I just ask the locals. Yeah, it's seen a few campaigns!! I'll have to ask for one. I might get some of my own printed when I can finally decide on a logo

Essentially they do. I just subcontract the jointing work from them. The firm I'm subbying to at the minute are called CBL.

It's for KZbin really. I try and use language that people who have no idea what's going on can understand. It makes it easier to follow

Completely depends on the design. It used to be that the cpc had to be no less than half the CSA of the main cable but now that's obsolete. I've done cables without a cpc and in the same panel another cable with one.
