Smaller and much less critical but after years of fitting shower screens and bathrooms I’ve always said that the barstewards who design the stuff should be made to come out in the real world and fit it! Same goes for the twonk who designed that enclosure!! Space saving for the sake of it! Great video again Tony.

Just when you think YT has it all - you casually drop a video not with 1 or 2 extra large 4 core cables, you install 12 x 500mm. And just for fun, terminate a few 185’s for shits and giggles. Reminds me of when local DNO dug up half of the village to upgrade transformer feed - those legs snaked around the entire village for miles! That old man darby is more contagious than rona - every bloke over 35 has one if they’ve ever partaken in a mid week sess… Great content as always Tony and keep them coming!

Cheers bud. I really enjoyed the 1c X 500mm cables. There's another 48 to do on this job so there'll be another video involving them I'm sure.

I like the U.K. electrical code over the North American one, it seems more mechanically simple to run everything bigger in these fat prefab armoured cables, everything here inside a building appears to be single cores run through piped conduit - even in dry areas; if there is a flexible bend needed they pipe that through a flex joint and then continue on with the metal conduit. 120V stuff also greatly limits the allowable distances between DB & load, everytime I visit UK the differences in the wiring code really stood out to me and a lot what makes your residential easier overall is not having our stupid 120/240V split phase system. Thank you for the super informative content and the awesome (and expected) british humour with it.

Well done man. There may not be much to this electrically but the effort needed to manhandle them big boys into place with mm accuracy is the craft. Having terminated many a big cable I can well appreciate what your doing. Especially by yourself. I did some dno jointing back in the day with lead cables and pitch, you know the stuff. I’d like a to see some modern joints being done if you you show some that would be good. All the best.

Start making shorts if you haven't higher click rate on them usually and see if sponsors want u to back products. I know you prob not doing it for tye cash but there's not many electrician channels like this well one he does tray and industrial.units and stuff his chanel got pretty big. Liked and subscribed.
@jointechcabling91032 жыл бұрын
Thanks fella 👍🏻. What I would say is get at least 2 years of experience with the biggest cables you can lay your hands on. If you're moving to London sign up with a few agencies. There's more work than men at the minute so it won't be hard to find a job. When you get on site, ask for the swa cables to put away. Whilst you're gaining the experience start buying some tools (I'm gonna do a video about mine soon). Good gear makes your life so much easier. When you feel confident enough (take photos and show people and ask for their honest opinion) get in touch and I can put you into companies that specialise in cable jointing. 👍🏻
