If driving the longest road in the world wasn’t enough, give yourselves 100 days to build a 4x4 motorhome capable of such a task.
Patagonia, a place that’s reputation precedes it. Famous on every continent for its natural wonders, this part of the world calls every adventurer at least once. Yet Not all answer. For us, we took the longest and most arduous way to get here, but what awaits us still ahead will surpass any feeling or experience, of anywhere we’ve travelled in all the Americas. These next few weeks can only be described as wildly eventful and Unexpected, to the 11th degree.

46 years old here .... getting married in 6 days for the first time ... outrooted at a young age and traveled the world to every continent by foot, train, bus, horseback, bicycle, motorcycle, van, sailing boat, car and a homemade camper out of a 1989 toyota pickup 4x4. Done the panamerican highway back in 2016/2017 in a mitsubishi Delica bought in Vancouver, converted in 2 days out of a walmart parking lot and drove down to Ushuaia in 6 months/15 countries/40.000km. The most epic trip of my entire life, even more epic than crossing russia from Finland to China through Mongolia. Today, I can't think of anything else than getting my wife on that route to show her the wonders of the world, and we live in Canada (Eastern canada). My cat (5 years old) is named Ushuaia which should tell you how valuable this place is to me. I stumbled upon your channel looking for diy toyota camper conversion and that movie brought me to tears and to my knees. I've been where you've been, I've seen what you saw, I camped where you camped, same off-season/fall season and I cherished every minute of it. This is the one place (after Canada because I was born and raised in Europe) that I almost never came back from ( and I wish I never came back from). Thank you for this and like so many people said, you storytelling, picture telling, overall aesthetic and your story is out of this world. so again, thank you!

I was loading my car for a weekend getaway when I noticed this much anticipated video had dropped. I stopped what I was doing to watch it. A few minutes later I had a tear when I saw the perfect proposal with the most epic backdrop. A love story with a great adventure. I can’t remember which episode it was in this series, I think it was in Mexico… Stacey was opening up a gate to get the chinook through. Matthew’s narration in the moment said something along the lines of, “If you ever find a girl like Stacey don’t ever let her go.” I obviously do not know you two and how you two feel about marriage, but I for sure thought in that moment that if there was ever going to be a proposal it was going to be on this trip. Biggest congrats to you two. Looks like you left a lot of people shedding some happy tears on a Thursday in May. Without the love story + adventure I wouldn’t have binge watched after finding your adventure when you were in Columbia. I also wouldn’t have eagerly looked forward to every episode Who couldn’t and admire Matthew’s growing mastery of narration and I’m guessing Stacy’s writing. Here's an idea I've been playing with, I don't think it's been done, maybe I'll do it one day but it's ok if you beat me to it... Try to connect all the northernmost drivable points in Canada (maybe including a few ice roads?) From coast to coast... to coast! Start with BC in the spring and let the land dry out a bit as you work your way east, would probably be the smart way. Escape summer on Hudson Bay, fall colours in Ontario & Quebec, and snowmobile trails in the maritimes (you would need tracks to be legal). Better bring a canoe for shield country and real fishing lures 😂
