@@KellyKels23tbh, I love the show, but I can’t really get how anyone could enjoy the first season that much, it’s got some good jokes here and there but overall it’s just, meh, trying to be as offensive as it can, it’s an acquired taste of a show already, and the first season is the weakest, I’m not gonna lie, I always recommend peopled start with the seasons 2-4, then loop back to season 1 before continuing, because season one is better in hindsight, ofc everyone is different and has a different sense of humor, but I feel like genre consensus is that the first couple seasons are kinda weak, but especially season 1

I totally understand why Rick wants to opt out and I love this show. It's easy from the benefit of hindsight, knowing where it's going or watching in the cultural climate it came out (particularly for seasons 1-2) that it's always been a hard sell. I think having the full crew watch a season or two of longer shows then having the choice to opt out makes sense and stops people who don't like something having to sit through it = so it's more enjoyable for them and the audience watching. Like, I love Schitts creek and think seasons 3-6 are way stronger but if someone still isn't enjoying it in season 2 - they're probably not going to be radically changed by forcing them to keep going. If that makes sense.

I was shocked to hear that the only reason rick carried on watching B99 was because of holt, surely you wouldn’t stick out 9 seasons of a show just for one character? I mean if its genuinely not a show he likes then thats fine. But I hope he didnt stop cause he felt guilty or something. Its sad watching reactors watch something, and not laugh cause they're afraid they'll get canceled or something. Which is what it seemed like. This show is hilarious. Its ok to laugh. They're jokes. Actors playing fake characters. Thank goodness a show like this is still on air. We need some shows to push the limits. Otherwise soon we'll be sitting here watching knock knock jokes get canceled.

The show simply wasn't his sense of humor. Nothing more to it than that. He laughs plenty at shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Ted Lasso and Fawlty Towers; this show just didn't click with him.

@mulakaluke Those shows comedy ain't like Sunny tho lol. Brooklyn 99 is like pg to Sunnys rated R. Like I said, if it genuinely wasn't for him, that's ok. But it kinda felt like he didn't want to laugh at it. Who knows. Just saying the show IS funny, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with the jokes. Its ok to laugh at jokes. Pg or R.

@@bt3519 I don't know him presonally, but from whatching the reactions, I truly think he simply didn't enjoy the humor, not that he was afraid of laughing at it. And also to yout point of: "Just saying the show IS funny, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with the jokes. Its ok to laugh at jokes", Sunny is a cringe comedy. And depending on your sense of humor and personality, you either laugh at the scenes or are geniuinley cringed out by them. Like even personally there are scenes in Sunny that I laugh my ass off, but also ones that I can't make it through without fast-fowarding/putting it on 2x speed/muting the scene, because it does make me physically cringe/feel second hand embarresement.

@mulakaluke Sunny isn't all cringe comedy. You're thinking of the office. Sunny has cringe moments, but it's not the entire show. And if you have to fast forward on half the jokes, then idk why you're watching it either lol. I'm not saying that I'm right. But you can't rule it out either. I'm not the only one here who thinks the same also. It didn't look like he just didn't like it. He looked almost ashamed to have watched it. I'm just saying it's a shame that some people are afraid to laugh today. I'm just speaking from my point of view.

@@bt3519 Tbf the scenes that I fast foward are like once or twice per episode and in retrospect or when I watch BW's reactions I find them a ot funnier, it's just that intial reaction of "OMG why are you saying/doing this". I find the show hilarious overall. And yeah it's impossible to know how Rick really feels about the show unless he specifically says it somewhere, so it really just does depend on if you look at it optimistically or cynically, which is going to be different for everyone :)
