The lawyer is one of my favorite side characters. Even better than Cricket, who is just too over the top to be all that funny. The lawyer, though, straight man (comedically speaking), nemesis of the gang, decent person plagued by these terrible protagonists. . . It’s amazing writing.

Honestly, given how terrible the mother acted and treated people in the brief appearances we have seen her, it is not surprising her husband and children don't mourn her. The woman left in her will that she thought Dee was a mistake. From the diary entry we heard it sounds like Dee's mom always cruel to her and attacked her appearance. I get why Dee felt nothing and was planning to grave rob her.

What Pat was saying about Bruce was true: he’s not that good or a guy. You know what else Pat said? The gang aren’t also good people. The point is people are defending Bruce like he’s a saint because he does all this philanthropic work, but will rub it in your face and is still willing to stoop to a low level just to get payback. Just say you don’t understand the nuance of his character instead of trying to act like someone else is crazy.

@@ThePenpachi dude i've always said that about this episode and bruce;s character in general. the writers missed an opportunity for some social commentary on these white saviors who invest in helping kids in Africa. like Bill Gates. I feel like his character was written very naively, as if philanthropy and "non profit organizations" aren't usually covers for money laundering and corruption. how many kids in the US are suffering and in poverty? why do you need to go to other countries? everything he said Darfur, helping women in Taliban, basically reads like a CIA approved causes that liberals are allowed to support, because it indirectly bolsters what they want to do foreign policy wise. sorry don't wanna rant, i just think there's some social commentary there that they could've explored. yea i get he's supposed to be the polar opposite of the gang and this angel, but the execution just felt so phony. i agree in this episode he isn't so clean, he could've just told frank and dee off, but he actually involved children bringing them in a possibly unsafe environment, used them as props. then asking his daughter to perform a sexual act to prove they don't have limits, well they stopped it so they do, and isn't he the one that looks weird? also taking the house from dennis seems overly vindictive, what did dennis do to him, they're still his biological kids. glad this is his last appearance, just a weak and contradictory character
