It's funny how Pat fell for the same thing that the episode is making fun of: that hollywood has tricked people into believing grenades - and most other explosives - explode into a ball of fire. The truth is that a normal grenade like that is just concussive force and shrapnel. It's much more effective at injuring people, but isn't very good for destroying vehicles or buildings.

Just to correct an oddly prevalent myth, I’d like to point out that shooting the gas tank of a car does not, will not, could not, would not, won’t ever, and has never resulted in an explosion. I can only assume the underlying idea is that the bullet would strike some metal component of the car which would in turn cause sparks which would in turn in turn ignite the gasoline which would in turn in turn in turn detonate due to the confined space of the gas tank. The problem, of course, is that gasoline is not nearly combustible enough for said sparks to even ignite it, and even if it were there would not be anywhere near enough pressure in a gas tank to achieve detonation. In fact, regular liquid gasoline at atmospheric pressure isn’t actually all that combustible to begin with - hence why it is aerosolized and compressed in a car engine prior to combustion. Theoretically, I guess there is probably a non-zero chance that sparks from the bullet could ignite enough volatilized gasoline particles to start a fire elsewhere in/on the vehicle, but even that is so extremely unlikely as to be negligible.

5-11 is all god tier stuff, like I was just lookin at the s11 episodes and goddamn that season was loaded. The show has always been great and 1-4 especially 4 is damn good but for me 5-11 is absolute peak Sunny. The longevity and quality of this show is pretty damn unmatched.
