A story of you It’s how you put down the spoon Gently, in soft motion, with precise intent Imagine the flight of the hummingbird Ethereal and purposeful It’s the cat’s graceful jump on your lap Purring warmly It’s the quiet smile given to a stranger Just walking by This morning I listen to the silences And I am reminded of you It’s the complicit glance friends share Hearing all that is unsaid The delicate and privileged touch Of a snowflake landing on your face This morning I listen to the silences And I hear you In the bewitching final note Floating from the sad melody On the piano On this ordinary day This morning I heard the silences Telling me a story gentle and true Of might and strength unloud A story of you It’s how you put down the spoon

your videos inspire me to live out life as an author but i am always saddened when i remember i grew up and live in germany and my english will never be a match for people who grew up with that language. i have no interest in writing in german, and i dont think there is support here if you are starting out as an english writer over here. maybe i will get my chance sometime later in life if i ever get the chance to move out of this country. love your videos as always, you're a huge inspiration

You could try writing for literary magazines.
@Jo-sx8yiАй бұрын
Hi, I'm from Germany too so I feel qualified to give you a heads up, it is possible to learn English to the degree that you can match or even surpass native speakers. Think, most people can converse in their native language but would not feel capable of applying the language in a way that would be fit for an interesting literary piece - if you are good at English grammar- and vocabulary wise and have some aptitude for dramatic writing, you are good to go. It should also be possible to send your pieces to international publishers via the internet. Granted, this won't be as helpful/pay off as quickly as local publishers, but I still suggest you try it - you can't really lose with it.
