So I looked at the real estate listing photos from the previous owner to the current owner, I totally agree that the front entry was a mess. That hallway has closets on one side, also the previous owner had a piano against the wall blocking 3/8th of the hallway, only thing I can say is Whoa! I also was not a fan of the hot tub on the deck outside of the master bedroom. As you awoke in the morning your focal point was distracted by a hot tub out your bedroom windows. I think the previous home owner removed the hottub which was a good deal. I will also say the previous owner was not afraid of colors on the paint in the bedrooms. It is fun watchng your home tours.

2 years ago, a tornado went down my street, and it snapped a couple of my trusses . The insurance said it was caused by the foundation, so they refused to pay anything. 6 weeks ago, my house flooded ( kitchen, living room, family room, laundry room, master bedroom, master bathroom, and closet) while I was out of town. I walked into a house full of water on a Sunday evening. It took me a few minutes to figure out what happened. It was the filter on the refrigerator. The back blew off, and air bolis went through that line, and when the ice maker activated, it pulled the air into the filter. My neighbors had called the fire department out a few days prior, and they shut my water off by accident and turned it back on without venting the lines 1st so the air got stuck and boom. Let me first say all the flooring is ruined and the cabinets are all ruined and lots of furniture as well. There was also almost as much damage caused by the water mitigation team Allstate sent here ( let that sink in for a minute). Allstate, at first, tried to say only 2 boxes of my cabinets needed replacing and zero floors, so after my my deductible and depreciation, they owed my $0 to fix my flooded house. Now, if I don't fix it, nothing is ever covered again. Earlier I said the water mitigation team caused almost as much damage they decided to drill 100's of holes in my drywall after they removed my baseboards above the baseboard line 2" round holes it would have been easier to just flood cut it. They brought in 20 fans and 2 massive dehumidifiers that froze my A/C so it was 120° they warp my upper cabinets and all my shelves in the house my ceiling fans look like they came from Florida and they killed my fish 15 of them to be exact but they didn't care they said file it on your insurance, Allstate doesn't cover pet loss. The water mitigation team pulled the carpet back and took the pad and put the dirty wet carpet back it made me sick I couldn't figure it out I never get sick I even took a Covid test twice in the master bedroom where I sleep they cut out part of the pad and left the rest I found out it's still wet!!!. My dryer is sitting in my living room because that's where the water mitigation team left it. My stove is on the other side of the kitchen, not hooked up because that's where the water mitigation team left it. I'm disabled. There is absolutely $0 for me to start this project, get to the middle of this project, or even finish this project. I screamed and yelled till they hung up or transferred me. I have cried till there are crickets. Finally, I hired a PA. Unfortunately, he gets 10% of my $ Allstate for fighting with Allstate to get me $. It's truly sad that things come to this. I pay Allstate every month on time. The least they could do is show some human compassion. The agent that came out to looked at the damage and said to my face we would replace everything and fix everything that needed to be fixed and painted. He walked out the door and changed his mind, denied everything. I mean, he literally lied to my face. I'm sorry this is so long. I guess I just needed to rant about insurance

So the trusses lifted up from the tornado, looks like the trusses had hurricane strap hangers on them which is concerning if they are suppose to prevent uplift, unless they were put on after to help with future storms?

Have you heard about UV blocking windows? We have them here in Denmark, that lets the light come in but keeps the heat out. And have you thought about tiles at the kitchen floor? Cause if you spill some food/grease/coffee ect its an easy clean up rather than on wood :P Im crossing my fingers for their daughter. I've lost my older brother to the same terrible disease.

The Andersen Windows we use are supposed to have the UV blockage, but it doesn’t work all that great

There should be a law put in place were insurance co. Only have so long to fix the damage are they are fined. I know so many that have gone over 3 months in Texas That's not except able!!!!!
