Congratulations to you & your new family! I’m going on 3 years and I know I want to date but don’t know how and that is scary. I’m not normally scared, but being a widow changes everything. It is hard to explain & I would never wish this “experience” on anyone ever. I am truly happy for you❤️

Maria Amezquita thank you Maria! You are completely right being a widow does change situations. I remember going back to dating was terrifying for me as well. After being married to have to date again seemed so “high school” and it frustrated me. BUT once I found Julio it felt very comfortable very quickly. I am proud of you for trying. Yay, yay, yay!!!! I got soooo excited when I saw your video pop up!!! Me and you have VERY similar details to our story. Getting married fast (per popular opinion), and I also endured the same judgemental attitudes from others, but especially from my first husbands family. I, too, had to just cut people out of my life. I just want you to know that I am SOOOO happy for you!! What a beautiful family!!! You did everything right! YOUR right, for your life. I have thought about you and wondered how you were doing, so seeing this video made my day!!!!

It is sad that those people have to leave, but I have learned to grant them grace and love them from a distance. Young widows almost seem like a rare anomaly and nobody truly understands us like other widows. I know his family endured loss too, but it was different than my loss. I'm mostly referring to my sister in law. I know she lost her brother, but at the end of the day she still has her own husband, her kids, her job and her home, and her world wasn't completely flipped upside down like mine. I had no husband, no father for my children, no provider, no home because I had to move in with my parents in another state. So, at the end of the day, I just have to pity them because they just don't know any better. Plus, I personally feel like some people get stuck in "complicate grief" unable to move forward. As the wife, we just kinda have no choice but to keep moving forward.

Lauren Elizabeth it’s like your taking the words out of my mouth. So so very true. I am definitely working on loving from afar part though! I have some anger and hurt feelings from comments. Trying to work through it. It’s nice to hear perspective from someone that has been going through it longer

This is my first time seeing your video and I am a widow. It will be 4 years November 21 and I have had to cut my husbands family completely off. So I feel like I kind of relate but at the same time everyone is different because I didn’t get as much time with him as I wanted. And we have 3 kids together and it’s hard on me and even harder when they wanna ask or talk about him. So thank you for making your channel and opening up.

Casheema Robinson you are one strong momma! I can’t imagine having the conversations. I’ve been thinking how I will explain Jake to my little one and she isn’t even his daughter and it’s been tough. I just lost lost my husband and I'm so lost. I just wanted u to know I was looking for something temporary bc he doesn't have a marker yet. Anyway,that video took me here...I don't talk to anybody bc well....I also lost Eric to addiction. He was my person, we just found each other, the one I never believed was real. We could have an entire conversation without ever saying a word. Our first anniversary was 2 months before... I will not find that love again. I mean, nobody will ever meet my standards after being his wife. I'm envious of what you have found....I'm happy for you. I am however...broken. I never comment on anything but I wanted u to know u are in my head... Do I say ty? Lol.. I hate that u and I are a part of this club..its awful. I'm glad u found blessings again...
