I wish that the county would require the rebuilding to be retro like it was before the fires. It would be so sad if the new buildings were super modern. I know there is a trend to build new old designed homes right now. I hope the city planners consider this option...classic LA should be restored by the input of the locals that have continued to created the LA vibe from the old cool origins in the 20's 30's 40's 50's 60' etc...

I agree, but I also think it's probably more important that the new buildings are much more fireproof so that we don't have a tragedy of this scale again 😞 and that combined with the need to build houses cheaply and rapidly, I just can't see that happening
