@@cruzin54321 These people aren't trying to survive. The people trying to survive are at home and in bed getting rest for their 5 am shift of their first of 2 or 3 jobs. These people are either high on fentanyl or meth or they're up to some kind of criminal activities. No one who works for a living is outside late at night walking around downtown like a zombie or standing on a street corner eyeing people as they walk by.

Not exactly that good of a place but what a lot of people fail or ignore to realize is that we are living in a different day & time now, yes violence does still occur in any big city as well as small rural places but there has been improvements over the last 5 decades regarding the same. Back in the 1980’s & early 90’s especially the crack epidemic era & the “ real Gangwars “ before social media & the internet took off life was harder & more dangerous…..I use to post under Charlie’s videos all the time but haven’t in a very long time. I live in California up North & I visit Oakland & Sacramento all the time & I visited Los Angeles maybe 10 times since moving to California 4 years ago. But back in the 1980’s & early 1990’s it probably wouldn’t be a good idea to walk certain streets if you not from the area even IF you mind your own business, people were just more violent/ hungry but in this generation a lot of people no longer harass people because they say it’s too many cameras around & there’s always someone nearby with a cellphone that can record in a second & also we have a lot more people getting KZbin money etc but back before the internet/ social media folks had to rely on crimes in these big cities to get money & infact you would hear it in a lot of our rap legends lyrics….I remember on Nas first album the legendary “ Illmatic “ Nas said they use to rob foreigners etc etc & plenty of rappers have said if it wasn’t for rap they would be running up in your crib etc…not trying to piss anybody off but just keeping it 💯 a lot of our youth who couldn’t get a job back in the 80’s & early 90’s because of the clothes they wore not only are able to get regular jobs but a lot are killing it on KZbin now & making more money than a lot of our parents who worked there entire lives…Charlie ain’t the only brother making a lot of money from KZbin but you got these kids that do pranks & some that do these dating skits etc are making so much money that they are living comfortable & it’s all from KZbin…..I have a small KZbin channel & I get a little bit of money but nothing close to these people with 50k subscribers or more…So I know the numbers & I can look at a persons views & know what ballpark they are in as far as what they are getting paid.

LA used to have a lot of tourists but until people around the streets started acting crazy, trash being found in lots of places, rodents in alleys, man made pollution, traffic, severe crowds, insanely flooded intersections from severe weather caused by climate change, unexpected jumping, and vandalism on protected property started to occur and that drove a lot of tourists away.

So this is happening all across the US right? Not just in LA. Why do I get the notion that any (local) government isn't acting on this? Even basic government/community services like working street lighting aren't provided, it also seems from this video... As a European from NL I can honestly say that not all in my country is OK, in fact far from it, but situations as I'm viewing this time in LA, but also e.g. in SF and Philadelphia (Kensington) and in many other US cities, that's just not happening over here (not yet at least...). And in NL this is the case despite the illegal but widespread production, distribution and use of all kinds of (hard) drugs. Our government is stretched also to its limits in keeping a grip on it, but still they seem to manage it. I do hope though that these awful inner city US circumstances as pictured here in LA, won't ever cross the Atlantic... It's horrible to see what a civilized and immensely wealthy country is evidently not able (or willing?) to fix...

Consider putting some more specific routes or addresses in the description. Sometimes I am curious to read more about places I see in these videos, but unless you aim the camera at the street signs repeatedly, it’s difficult to know where you are.

What a dump. I have done my fair share of travel all around the world and Los Angeles was the biggest metropolitan dump I have visited so far, an utter disapointment, like a third world country.

When you can walk through a neighborhood without people accosting you and everyone's not standing up slumped over on opioids, you are fortunately not in the worst of the worst areas.

I went in 1999 and got such bad vibes and had no idea why. Like you could feel tension and uneasiness in the air. I’ve felt that before- walking down a dark street or waiting on a late-night subway platform with no one else around.

Mad World All around me are familiar faces Worn-out places, worn-out faces Bright and early for their daily races Going nowhere, going nowhere And I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had I find it hard to tell you 'cause I find it hard to take When people run in circles, it's a very, very Mad world (mad world, mad world)
