Guys something IMPORTANT ** If you want to try out felwinters I would highly suggest these things I forgot to mention. 1. USE QUICKCHARGE! It gives every shotgun you use 25 extra handling! It’s an arc mod you can put on any piece of arc armour! 2. Use shotgun dexterity mod! 3. Use quick access sling If you do all this with surplus on stasis hunter this gun will feel pretty snappy for only having 26 handling. Will it be faster than matador? No. But I’m telling you I had a lot of fun for a 26 handling shotgun lol

Something else the might benefit this is on your mark on solar hunter (you will not always have this up if you don’t have you dodge in time) it increases the handling a lot but it’s only for like 10 seconds (give or take). It’s like QuickDraw and maybe a bit faster in you have all the other stuff on

To me it's a warlock only weapon at this point. Ophidians, surplus, quick charge, quick access sling and shotgun dex makes it basically have quickdraw.

It’s a good started at the very least, it may not have that great of handling but it’s availability towards even the most beginning of players is nothing to scoff at. Matador will always be the better pick yea. Great video as always!

I just got a God roll matador last week finally with perp motion opening shot and man it feels great and the changes to spread it what i love it.... Matador archetype and found verdict just hit great with a round reticle and opening shot... I think matador and found verdict are the best along with one's in same class like fractethyst

IMO You don’t need surplus x3 for it to be affective x2 still gives big buffs to your stats. And it’s easy to keep up 2 abilities with the right build. With that said felwinters just ain’t what it use to be, think there are better craftable pellet shotguns like wastelander m5 and without remorse.

Solar hunter can make this work too, maybe even better. With the right aspects on, just dodging gives you a handling and reload buff similar to Dragon's Shadow

If/when this gun is in the spot bungie would want it to be in, based on what they've said about guns like subzero salvo/null composure/veles-x, I'd expect it to be a good gun, a solid godroll, which is guaranteed, but never the best available option of its kind. You should be able to get better, but have this as a good option until you do.

With tl fv with quick charge and Ophidians you can have 68 range and capped handling WITHOUT surplus. There is no reason to use this over Fv unless you really believe shot package makes that much difference

I have been having wild success with my Prophet of Doom with opening shot and assault mag. I'm constantly impressed by the ranged kills it pulls off. Not the best handling but I buff it up the best i can and pair it with Rose.

Honestly stasis Titan with Hoarfrost-Z is fun. Definitely not good by any means, but you could do well with it, or at least get some moments out of it. Pro tip for using it: The stasis barricade gives rally barricade’s effect even if the crystals are gone. That’s all I’ll say, the rest is up to you to figure out :)

It’s good if you’re a slower or defensive player for sure. Or if you need to lock down an objective. Imo dune/lion rampant/peacekeepers is better if you play behemoth aggressively

@@jam726 I actually use it for offense and defense. You can give yourself cover instantly, break the crystals and heal yourself, use the effect to make all of your guns ridiculously sticky. I myself have an explosive payload killclip fatebringer with the fragment that boost kinetic damage to crystals. I break 2 with each shot at the ground. There’s just so much utility all the way through, I’m loving it so far.

Fellwinter imo is the worst aggro frame now, it is the only one that cannot get the 7m kill and its stats are pretty bad. Its good on the basis that its easily obtained but that is it, all shot guns have a uniformed spread so the only thing that made fellwinters unique isnt even that unique now its just a aggro shotty with precision kill range but without the benefit of precision frame stats

Felwinters actually no longer Has shot package. It has the exact same spread as all the other Aggressive frames. Don't believe me go check. Put on on any other shotgun of its type & shoot at different ranges & you'll see Felwinters is 100% the same

Melee lunging is what killed shotguns, more than half shotgun kills are clean ups or abuse of the broken melee, standalone shotguns haven't been good since the DustRockBlue era.
