You could put a board or books under your tomato tray to lift it closer to the lights. It is easier than trying to figure out how to adjust the lights with different height plants.

Wow. The energy y’all spend every day ! Having multiple sclerosis I miss working so much. Good news for me is, y’all help me out with burning of restless energy. Watching the vids makes me feel like I been in the gardens and stuff working. Also I don’t know my way around in the kitchen to much but watching the meals being prepped gives me some ideals and them dinners is the kind I’m use to from back in the day. Thank y’all for the videos and bringing back wonderful memories. Hope y’all have a blessed day !😊

We fed our cows ground up corn when I was young as well. We grew a large field of corn, took it to the mill when we needed some and filled up a crib with the rest. We picked that corn by hand and it was several acres.

Nobody in our entire family ever used treated wood around animals. Structural beams could be used, but they had to be covered with untreated wood. Planks were replaced when needed. Our philosophy was that if you have to wear a mask and goggles to cut treated wood, and you should when cutting treated lumber, you didn't want that around your animals.

Back when folks were first raving about how convenient cake mixes were, I'd always used milk instead of water, because water is just wet, milk will add moisture. Lard or butter instead of vegetable oils will add moisture and flavor. Everybody says add more eggs than the box calls for, and there was a time when some mixes were labeled with an extra egg, but folks that added extra eggs automatically said they weren't good like before, so they stopped labeling it that way. No matter what flavor of boxed cake mixes I've ever used, I always add a splash of real vanilla extract, and just that alone will make folks think it's a homemade cake.

Hey Y'all, I can't to see what you do with the pollinating garden. I have always wanted to grow a purple passion flower on a trellis. If I may, they might add a nice vertical element to your flower bed, and they are good pollinators. If you don't know, it is the state wildflower of Tennessee. Purple cone flowers are nice in a garden. they are native to middle Tennessee. Excuse me but I'm so proud of my states flora.
